I'd take it to a dealer to be checked out, at that price I smell a rat, the car could be stolen, or rebuilt, you said carfax was clean, did he tell you that or did you pull the report yourself? if the dealer woudl give him 10 why woudl he sell it to you for 8? somethign isn't right, procede with caution

I posted last week about some things to go over when you're looking at a used car that might raise some red flags...

...but this car is setting off alarm bells.

The idea that someone would sell a car to an individual over a dealership and take nearly a $2K loss?

This is what he said to me when I was talking on the phone. "most I would get for it is around $10,000. I would much rather find my car a good home with a responsible owner. I don't want to risk my vehicle going to a youngster."

well i am going to check Z today if its possible I will take the Z to dealer.

Thanks

take it to a dealer, they can check the vin on the ecu and make sure it matches the chassis and the paperwork

I got an 05 roadster and mine had 21k on the odo. I'm payin 25k for mine from a dealer. 8 stacks is suspect! I wouldn't touch it.

KBB trade in value for a 05 enthusiast vert with 38k miles is 14,975 for fair condition and 17,457 for excellent. $8k would be a steal until you start paying for whatever is wrong with it. Dude would not lose $6k for the car to go to a good home. When someone says its 2 good 2 be true it usually is.
