I sat in one last week. Love the exterior!!! MUCH more than the mustang.
But, when I sit in it, I'm disappointed, especially in that plastic radio/console!!
Don't like the mustang interior much better, but DO like that new 5.0 !!!!

Bad thing about all that plastic in a GM car is that in a year or so it will all be rattling.

I guess half the excitement was the anticipation. You really do see a lot of them around here.

Personally...If I were GM and I wanted to have the car look like a '69, I would have made it exactly like a '69. I would have stood in line for that.

I really think Chevy did a great job on the exterior. It has a very menancing look!!! (IMHO) which I like.
Hype does fade quickly these days. Local Furd dealer has a 500KR that they initially wanted 10K over, but now they would take almoset 10K below. Have had it for month now. Yeah, like I"m going to pay 75K for a Mustang!!!

Roof line is a little too chopped for me.

We had a guy in my car club that had a Lingenfelter Camaro. Paid a FORTUNE for it. It was fast....oh yeah it was fast, but things were always breaking and when it got time to sell it he took a huge beating. I'm like you...if I paid that much money for a fast car, I would get a Vette and be able to recoup some of my bucks when I got ready to sell it.

I really liked the new black/black w/smoked rims Z06 (385HP) that I got to test drive!!! We really didn't need to be spending that kind of money so when Renee went I had no reply.....
ALso, test drove a new black/black Camaro 6 speed about the same time....2001 or 2002?? Seems like it had > 300HP
The same guy that let me drive the Z06 threw me the keys to the new Camaro to take out alone.
(I had coached his son in soccer and his family owned the dealership)
Like I've said before, I LOVE test driving cars!!!!
