Well the subject line sums it up. One of my wisdom teeth was impacted and I kept catching tonsilitis, so I had both procedures done to kill two birds with one stone. I'm posting on here because I can't talk, my voice is out of commission. I have a sore throat and a bad toothache, but at least they've got me taking demorral (good stuff:D ).

I had my car go in for surgery the same day. I can finally say it's modded. I just had KYB AGXs installed with an Eibach Pro-Kit; I'm still waiting for the camber correction kits to arrive, so the shop is keeping it in the garage for me. I can't wait till I can drive again, should be next week. This is going on a 95 240sx se.

For those of you in the Houston area, the place is called HPD (Houston Performance n Design) I'll let you know how they did with the car. I like how they've treated me so far.

I had my wisdom teetch out 2 weeks ago and my jaw is still a little sore. And food still gets stuck back there. It is so annoying. Hope everything goes good for you, and you are lucky that your pain killers work. Mine sucked.

Damn, this thread reminds me I have to get four of my wisdom teeth out in, like two weeks. It's also the day before school starts! Lucky me!

My drugs may work, but I still feel pain; I'm just able to sleep. I'm taking demorral and my jaw hurts like hell. I'm halfway through the tonsilectomy recovery. You have a really sore throat for a few days, then feel like you're getting better, then the scabs come off and you feel like crap again. I'm at the point where they're trying to come off.

95silviase - you may want to consult a doctor about your jaw still being sore, you may have dry sockets.

Stoneage - I'd get a second opinion, your condition might get worse.

dr!ft - I doubt you'll be going to school for that first day with how you're gonna feel

I had my wisdom teeth removed back in June, I scared the hell outta my mom by skipping (oh yes, skipping) around the house like 3 hours afterward (my brother, by comparison, was unable to even walk more than a few feet nearly 24 hours afterward), that was a fun day, though the memory is kinda blurry, like I was high, drunk, or both, or something.

Yeah that may be true. There is a nerve there called the lingual never that dentist give anesthesia that knocks out feeling of part of your tounge lips and most of ur teet from the front back on that side. Your tooth may be resting against or very near that nerve. They can usually tell with x-rays and that if they tried to pull that tooth it would damage that nerve. That's my .02 cents. I am just a sophomore in Dental school though.

Yea that sounds interesting. I have an idea of what it is, but not sure. Please tell.

I got mine out Monday, it was pretty fun waking up. I was trippin like crazy. I was as giddy as a schoolgirl. It was great. But my jaw hasn't been that sore at all.

Another thing. Is it normal, just seconds before you wake up, you here a voice inside your head sounding like an announcer saying "2003 National Champions, Miami Hurricanes" And then you wake up, all excited because your a huge Miami fan

That's odd isn't it

Sorry it took me this long to reply, but here we go:

I Spent the night before last gagging; part of my stitches came loose and it's been poking my Uvula, that's part of the gag reflex. I ended up puking five times. My Doctor just told me to try gargling (not working), and stop taking the demorral and use liquid ibuprofen. Duh, I knew better than to take something that makes me nausious - someone correct my spelling please - when my gag reflex is irritated. I ended up puking five times in a row. I couldn't get to sleep for 3 hours last night and that thread is still poking. I'm just hoping the doc can do something about it when I see him tomorrow.

Long time no talk stranger! I'm going to try to keep it in good shape, but if I get the money I'd like a nice exhaust; my muffler has a tear in it. Most immediate however will be some PIAAs, stinkin APC bulb on my driver's side burnt out. It's a good thing I kept my old bulbs. I'd also like to replace my horn, it sounds like it's half foghorn.

They're holes left where your wisdom teeth once were. They are no supposed to be there. They're basically exposed bone and nerve, or there's barely any flesh covering them. I'm no dental expert, but you should at least call and ask about them.

cosmo - I want to know the name of the drug they gave you.

Once again, sorry for taking too long to reply.

Nope, my doc used the good ol' scalpel. My throat still hurts, but I'm seeing the doc tomorrow for another post op. If anything's wrong he should catch it early enough to stop problems.
