ok, just swapped in a S13 SR into my 89 240. at first the starter was working and the engine would turn over but it wouldn't catch. (im linking that to the timing.) but now for some reason the starter just clicks and then thats the end of it. i switched out the guts of the starter with the KA SOHC starter and its doing the same thing. just clicking. so i figure its not the starter. battery is charged, holds a charge and is currently rating at ~13V. ive read that theres a wire you have to cut and splice together under the fuse box but thats all ive heard. no one said which wire and which wire so on and so forth.

currently im ready to pay someone thats in the area to come over and help me problem solve with me due to the fact it has to be out of the garage by this sunday.

The only wire under the fuse box that needs to be touched is the park/neutral safety switch. But that's for an auto->5 speed swap

Try and turn it over by hand. Maybe the engine froze up?

Alright new update.got the starter put back into the car and its turning over again, just gotta adjust the timing is what i think the problem is now. if anyone knows of an additional timing "guide" that goes a tad more in depth with the CAS feel free to let me know, perhaps a link would pwn
