just got sr20 running couple of questions

i just got my s13 redtop running in my 91 240sx and i was wondering about a few things. it runs kind of choppy and the throttle response is really slow. and when i went to drive it the driveline binds up with the transmission and makes an aweful noise. and there is smoke coming from the turbo area but i cant tell where its coming from. also how important is it to change all of the transmission sensors from the ka? i only did the speed sensor. if you have any suggestions let me know. thanks.

If throttle response is real slow you may have a boost/vacuum leak. Make sure to check everywhere! (ie intercooler coupling..all vacuum lines...)I am not sure about the driveline problem... but um, it kinda sounds bad.And the smoke coming from the turbo scared the crap outta me. But it was just like oil and dirt burning off. After a little while...about 15 minutes, it should stop.

the turbo thing happens all the time, bunch o fluids all over. the speed sensor is the only one. did u swap the dustcap thats on the end of the transmission, or is it the sr one on there now? are all 4 cylinders running? that choppy prob could be that.
