Some lady in a durango totally wasted my prelude. bad news is it'll prolly get totalled. good news is i should be able to get my long wanted 240sx! I hope to get atleast 4g's from the insurance company. I plan on getting a cheap 240 for under 1000 to drive around till i can get the sr swap with the remaining 3g's. Anyone know what a shop would charge to do the swap? I'd love to do it myself, but don't think my dad would let me do it in the driveway :(

yeah, new bushings, replace shocks n struts...wheels and tires, stb's. 300zx brakes...stainless lines, brembo rotors...nismo clutchline, B&M shortshifter...then get an exhaust...and then save up for a swap from there

Ha, good luck gettin the engine and install for $3000, I can tell you right now if you plan on getting a decent motorset and a shop to put it in, dont go into this swap with just $3000, I would say plan on spending a minimum of 4g's for a stock swap and having it done right.

But like I said, good luck:)

edit: i should get 5500 not 4g's

reason i wanna do the swap first is because the project car that i end up buying will probably have no engine, not run, or be on its way out, hence the need for a new engine. After the swap i will do z32 brakes, tien ss, 5 lug conversion w/new rims/tires. after taht ill do intercooler, oil cooler, fuel upgrades, new radiator, and ignition upgrades to get this baby ready for mas boost :p

still a car with no engine is a car that probaly still needs maintenence, esp brake and susp maintenence (rotors, pads, dampers, tc rod bushings, subframe bushings, control arm bushings, bushings this and that...)
