For liability only it is $463.12 every 6 months, or $77.19 a month. This includes a $77 surcharge for speeding tickets :rolleyes

This is on my parents' insurance policy. Our agent said it went down a lot since I turn 21 next week :ylsuper and my dad's ticket went off the record.

I'll have to switch policies in 17 months when I get married, but hopefully getting married will counter-balance dropping off my parents' policy.

Nick

p.s. Full coverage was $3,678 every 6 months, or $613 a month. Not worth it since we all know they'd screw me w/ the estimate if an accident happened.

My goodness, you need to hurry up and turn 25. I pay very close to that amount for 3 vehicles, with full coverage on the Q and upped liability on all 3.

There's a new one... "Dad! You got another ticket!!! Now my insurance is going up! :D"

You might re-think that full coverage thing. I had two broken windshields in two years... They cost about $1000 each to replace. Ran over something on the interstate that cost $2300 to fix (had to replace crossmember and oil pan) - the glass coverage was free under comprehensive. The other had a $500 deductable. Still way better than out of pocket!

My full coverage w/ Geico on a 99Q and 01 accord is $430 for 6 months. And I thought I am paying too much ;)

Yeah it was really funny because I got a ticket and my dad went nuts and said I was gonna drive up our insurance and he was going to have to drop me, etc, etc. Then he got a ticket 3 months later. Imagine the fun I had with that. :)

That's a good point about full coverage, but I'll wait till I can get it for cheaper. That would be $7,200 a year which isn't worth it. When I'm 25, I'll make the switch.
