he did yours by hand too. hah mine also i was told that he does the 90mm cnc to the combustion chamber but when he got it he called me and said he didnt have the program for that yet so he did it by hand. I got my head back like a month ago and my engine is goin in tonight yee...

so your not worried a lil bit that if its not perfectly like semetrical that it could possibly change the explosion in a way thats not nessisarly good? ha that just kinda ran through my head when he told me he was gonna do it by hand.. lol but i trust mark and his work..

we both have 90mm bores so he opend the combustion chamber from 86mm to 90mm to mathc

nice... how much power you wanna make? we prolly both have the same exact engine... cp 9:1 comp 90mm pistons, corrillo rods, tomie 270 cams, supertech springs and retainers, ati damper, i thinks thats all the major parts.. lol

430hp on pump gas is my goal

He got rid of the squelch embossments entirely? That sounds a little iffy to me...

See the areas above and below the valves that are even with the deck height? Those are squelch/squish embossments. They force the compressed fuel mixture closer to the spark plug to help ignite the entire fuel mixture.

Not to say that some motor designs have done successfully without them. Hemis are a well known example for having a combustion chamber with no squelch embossments.

I just find it odd to do away with them on an SR. I could see getting rid of the one on the exhaust side to aid in exhaust valve breathing to help spool the turbo, but I would have left the embossment for the intake side.

mazworx has had very good results with it. that is usually where detonation usually occurs, and removing it de-shrouds the valves which is one thing that does kinda suck about the sr head. so this should allow me to boost higher, with a high compression ratio than i would of been able to on pump gas.

i will let you know how it does on my setup.
