Hey guys, so today i got my first TT and it has a slight problem.
@ a random time, usually if shifting from a high RPM, the car will like cut out,
For example
1st gear go to 6000 RPM
change to second
Rpm drops down to about 3500 or something, (for example)
The car does go and its kind of like its just in gear but you have no controll over it, I hit the gas nothing happens , the gauge for the turbos moves to 0 when i hit the gas and back to - when i let off but it has no effect on it, it my jerk it once or twice , and if i put it in neutral it will act as if it has like a rev limiter when i hold the gas set on like 2900-3100 and it will slowly bounce/ jerk between the two, and the only way to get it to respond again is to start it from first gear again or to like keep it in gear and let it slowly drop down rpms and itll EVENTUALLY catch it self.

Now let me explain what details of like upgrades or anything that is on the car,
God speed front mount intercooler, aftermarket 3"core radiator, brand new wiring harness from nissan, F1 stage 3 clutch kit, short shifter (Kind of makes a grind noise when shifting into 4th ), Apexi N1 exhaust, JDM ECU .

The guy i got it from said he installed an after market HCT high flow fuel pump , He said it works great but he did it himself and that it needs to be reinstalled by some one that knows what they are doing.

So what is the issue with this car?

First guess, if the guy mentioned the fuel pump you probably have a fuel related issue. Weak voltage to the pump or any number of things can lead to improper fuel pressure. A fuel pump related issue, be it wiring or fuel plumbing can cause a boatload of various issues.

To start with, just pop the hood and make sure everything is connected properly. An intercooler coupler could have come loose, that would also cause bogging and stalling under load. Check the visible wiring, make sure there isn't anything obvious, like a ground wire not connected. Once you're done with a basic inspection, if you haven't found anything, I'd start by rewiring the fuel pump, or at least checking the voltage at the pump etc. Best to rewire IMHO.

Easy fix, its a boost leak the most tricky part is finding the leak.. You need to check the plastic end tanks on the intercooler.

Same thing happened to me but i didn't know here is a pic of how mine looks after once I discovered the issue. I already decided/started to do a complete rebuild.

See what I mean. (my motor had low compression anyway so its for the better!!!! :bigthumb:
