Hello Everyone! I'm new to posting here but I've been watching these forums for a few months and love all the info on here, lots of great ideas and discussion! Anyways, a few months ago I bought a 94 Q45 for parts (it was wrecked), because I was planning on putting the engine into my 300zx. Today I was at a auction and found a 94 Q45A, it is in rough shape (maybe too rough?) but I ended up paying about $600 for it so thats not too bad . Unfortuneately, the engine in this one has a BAD knock, the right fender and headlight are destroyed and the interior isn't in good shape, lol. Yeah I know, I wonder why I bought it, but I've been wanting a Q for a while and considering that I've already got a parts car with a beautiful interior I figured that I don't have too much to lose. I read up on a bunch of the active suspension threads on this site and I'm glad to see that there is some non-dealership support for it, because from the looks of the car I will be needing it soon I'll be sure to post pictures when I have the car back to driving condition, hopefully that won't take too long. Thanks guys!

Mark

Hey guys, thanks for the support , I'll try to take some better pictures of the cars tomorrow and upload them tomorrow night. I'm going to try to get working on them in a couple of weeks, I don't really feel like rebuilding an engine right now so I'll probably just swap engines for now and see how bad the knocking engine is. One quick question about the active suspension... the car currently looks like its sitting on the ground, lol. The reservoir doesn't have any fluid in it (not really a surprise), so I'm wondering if I get the correct fluid and put some of it in there, and the system is somewhat working then the car should kind of "rise" when it starts up correct? From the posts that I've read, that seems to be how it works. I do have the little factory service manual that came with the car and I've been reading up on it, it all looks pretty decent to work on. I'll do my best to search before I ask too many questions, but I'm sure that I will have questions about car while I'm working on it. I'll try to get those pictures up, thanks!

Ok, I've been trying to figure out how to upload pictures to my posts, lol. I read the whole writeup in the FAQ about it and I think I've got it figured out but can't exactly figure it out yet. I'll take some more time later to get it figured out. So instead I created a quick page on the car domain website so that you guys could at least see some pictures of it. The link is: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2525014 I hope that I'm getting this right, guess I'll find out in a few minutes. Anyways, I jacked the car up tonight and started checking it out, the engine was a very clean engine with no obvious oil leaks, its such a shame that it isn't good anymore . The reason that its not good is because whoever owned it hit something that smashed the oil pan and left a whole in it and they didn't realize it. I'm definately not going to throw the engine out, I'm hoping that I can rebuild it at some point. Hey, maybe I can even work it over and get some more power out of it . I also noticed that the right front strut is the one that is pouring out fluid, so I guess that I'll be contacting Texasoil to see about how much its going to cost to fix all of this. Otherwise the car looks good underneath, the steering rack is also leaking but thats easily taken care of. I might start working on it this weekend, I do hope to be driving it within a month and man I cannot wait for that!!! Thanks guys!

Way to go! Just remember that getting one of these running is going to cost some duckies, so be prepared to spend and spend for a while. If it gets to much I'll buy both from you! Stay with it and you'll have a car that you like and one that YOU put back on the road.
