I ordered an S13 SR20DET Blacktop on Monday from JHOT Denton, TX location and it came today!

The customer service was great too! Both Gabe from the Augusta location and Jonathan from the Denton location were very friendly and willing to help me out. Jonathan sent me several pictures of the 4 SRs they had gotten in (2 red, 2 black). The engine itself appears to be in awesome condition. It's apparent that the engine really wasn't cleaned like some importers do, but this was helpful in finding any oil leaks that might need to be taken care of (In my case, slight leak from valve cover).

The engine was fairly clean and the aluminum block has very little dirt on it. Although I am unsure about the miles, the engine looks like it was taken care of and I can even read the Nissan print and part number off the clutch (which is also in awesome condition). The only problem I've run into is that one of the turbine blades seems to have a piece taken out of it, and this somewhat worries me.

Jonathan also threw in practically everything needed to get the car running including intake piping with Blitz airfilter, complete intercooler piping, intercooler, downpipe, and fuel pump.

Thanks to everyone at JHOT!

Oh, and I also put in my boost gauge

I run your VIN through the Nissan parts program. This is what dealers use to figure out what parts a person would need on their car. With the VIN it will tell you model, engine, trim, color, interior color, and all sorts of other info about the car.

It looks great! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay including shipping?

Hey, if you don't mind, could you keep us updated with the swap and approximate cost every now and then? I'm seriously considering a blacktop and would like a realistic idea of how much I would have to spend, and how much time it would take to get it running. I'm on the fence between having a shop do it, or doing it myself, where this would be my first swap.

Yea, since I'm doing a basically stock swap for now it would be a great opportunity to do a write up about how to do a clean, basic swap.

Just a little more information for you.

Complete motorset (Including downpipe, fuelpump, intercooler/ intercooler piping, Blitz air filter/ piping) $2266

T25 is at a shop getting rebuilt (not because it was worn out, I'm just careful) $250

Stock radiator, fan shroud, and stock TB to coldpipe coupler $80

Exedy Clutch $290

I still have miscellaneous parts to get such as heater lines, waterpump, etc. but the total will be around $3100 to get the car running.

I'm hoping for 210rwhp at around 11psi.

engine looks great, I got my s14 blacktop from jhot too. Your crate seems to be in one piece. My crate looks like potato chips that someone had stepped on it and therefor my oil pan was smashed and leaking. Other than that JHOT is teh best, fuel pump,I/C, downpipe, maf and everything that other company dont include in thier swap or is extra $.
