Hey guys, my CA just arrived at the shop today!! Got it from Dee, EXCELLANT to deal with. The motor looks to be in immaculate shape, except for a little bit of play on the turbo impeller shaft (which this turbo is going bye bye anyway).

Sorry i dont own a digital camera right now, or i'd have the pics everyone will want to see.

Anyhow, now that i got the transmission seperated from the motor, i need to get them both home. The motor will go on an engine stand in my kitchen (being a batchelor has got its pearks!) to be slowly rebuilt as budget allows. Im already planning on metal headgasket, ARP head studs, aftermarket bottom mount exhaust manifold, O2 elbow and downpipe, along with a better turbo. Any suggestions here? Im thinking either a T28 or a GT2871R (the 'disco potato'). Still have to research the turbos.

Once i get ready, i have to yank the stock SOHC and auto transmission out of my recently acquired 90 fastback and move my built SOHC and 5sp transmission from my coupe over. Im even going to move the engine wiring harness too, since ive done some cutting and splicing for some things (electric fans, HKS AFR, MSD ignition), that way i can use the original, untouched harness out of the fastback to install the CA into the coupe. One guy from work called it 'musical engines' and thinks im wasting my time not putting the motor straight into the car right now. But i want to do things right the first time.

Anyway, i need to get a digital camera. CA's are cool, and dayum sexy too.

Hahahaha, I was thinking of doing the same thing. I was going to put a tarp down and set up an engine stand in my bedroom. A guy is selling a CA in my area with a spun bearing for $350 CAD. I hope he hasn't sold it to someone else yet.
