Hey everyone! My parents just bought me a 2011 Nissan Versa!!! I am pretty excited about it. I have spent the past few hours just pouring over these forums and getting some pretty good ideas. Anyway, I wanted to know what kind of rims you guys think I should get? I want to keep them at 15in because we just bought new tires and that would be a real pain to have to buy all new tires plus rims. The car is Arctic Blue. First off should I just wait and keep the stock rims on until I need new tires and upgrade to the 17in rims then or, should I just get 15in rims? If you think I should just get the 15in rims let me know which ones I should get! Thanks again everyone!

When I was trying to decide on rims/tires, I first went to the thread a few rows up and looked at pictures and descriptions of others' cars. I then went out to discounttire.com and bigo.com. They both have simulations software that lets you try virtual wheel/tire combos on your car.

The rest is all personal taste, and how you will use the car. Mine is a daily driver so I was not too worried about wheel weight etc. I would wait until your current tires wear out and then move up to 17's. Another option, sell your current full set up on Craigslist or on this forum and then buy the 17" package. Of course if your parents are willing, buy the 15's now, then upgrade to 17's when your tires wear out, and sell the 15's. As a dad myself, I would not agree to that, but it is worth a shot at asking :-)

Have fun with your Versa. My daughter loves hers, and so do I.

Good luck with your new Versa! is it an S os SL model?
does it have any kind of OEM handling package, front/rear sway bar?
you just got the car and already purchased new tires??? were the tires off another vehicle?
anyways, type of tire and rating can help control steering responsiveness.
be aware of the TPMS and the sensors when purchasing wheels...
Have fun! :bigthumb:

When my 15" all-seasons wear out, I want to bump to 16s, prolly 205-50-16.
This will be a significant handling upgrade without spending crazy cash.
To me, it's not so important to fill the wheel wells, just improve the handling!
With my sentra, I made the mistake of buying the tires before the rims.
Fortunately, I was able to find good 14s, but had to be verrrry patient.
So IMO, get the rims you like at the price you like, and it's easy to find tires after.
