Hi Everyone, new here, just picked up a 1990 300ZX NA. love this car, haven't decided on anything new yet but reading all these threads makes me hungry for parts parts and more parts. Anyway, first thing im looking to do is repaint the car. The clear coat is flaking off and hood a little dull. Then i will go from there.

Are there any Z-Clubs in the Harrisburg, Pa area or meet & greets?

Car is all factory original, except radio. im keeping it like that and just want to clean her up. New paint.
I do need a drivers side seat, cloth type, since mine has a good size hole in it. so if anyone out there has one, hit me up. we can work something out. ill post pictures when its warmer and i can clean up the car and maybe polish it some. I did remove that ugly rusty license plate holder.
Is this an addiction?

You have no idea. ;)

Welcome to NICO! FYI your wheels are on backwards. Swap left to right and you'll be good. Unless the tread is directional, that is.

In a word... YES :yesnod

Welcome to the club! and NICO! you'll find 99.8% of the answers to any of your questions on here (or on twinturbo.net).

As for clubs near Harrisburg, no idea. I live in south jersey and don't know anyone near me with a 300zx lol

Thanks, i just keep looking at it wishing it was warmer. haven't taken t-tops of yet. beside the day i test drove it. lol. Looking for new Cd Receiver for it, the one in there is not to my likings. And do plan to redo the speakers all the way around. i like my sound clear and balance, not thumping. past that stage in life. thinking Alphines all the way around. and maybe hide a small 10 inch sub in middle beside both seats. havent found a picture of one mounted there yet. go figure.
Also, did the car come with a logo on the front center piece? thanks

Ok, forgot to mention, car has a ton of oxidation, the clear coat is yeah you know, oxidized badly. Well bought some turtle was restore compound in black bottle. i tell you what, only one application and boy did this do a number on the oxidation. wow. car shines much better. anyway will do second run and take my time with it tomorrow. im tired, but it does make a big deference. I dont know how to use a buffer nor do i have one so its all elbow work.
im tired, i need some Zzzzzzz

Are you saying dont use amor all or use it?
i normally give is enought to remove dust, never thick. i seldom spray directly on anything, i go from cloth to car. that way i control how much goes on.

thanks
