I just got home in my new car. This is the first non mustang car I have ever owned in my life. I am 27. I grew up building mustangs with my dad. I now have 3 children and literally have test drove about 15 different 4 door cars and never have been satisfied. I wanted 4 doors but still wanted a sporty look. The night the guy came to meet me with this car as he was pulling up I told my buddy I wanted it and a week later it is in my driveway. Here are some pics and mods ...Tein S Techs, 18" 350 Z wheels for winter and 19" Axis wheels for summer, window tint, aftermarket touch screen with navi, Injen Intake and I think that is it for the mods. Car is super clean and I got it for $5500

Welcome to Nico! I really think your going to like the car! I had a Maxima, sold it and had to buy another one becasue nothing ever felt like these cars do. And yours looks pretty damn sexy man! Im jeleous! And for only $5500! Thats the deal of the century! How many miles are on it? And if it doesnt have a Y pipe yet that should be the first thing on your to do list.

The miles are the only downfall but I have already taken it to a mechanic to have all of the tests done on it. The car has 150,000 but has a year and a half left on an unlimited mile warranty. It is a clean car. It does ride stiff but I just gota get used to that I guess.

Meh.. I wouldnt worry to much about 150. Look into the engine's and you will see its been on the ward's top ten engine's list for 14 or 15 years now! Mine has been lowered too and ya it is a pretty rough ride. Though now i think i preffer it to soft regualr suspension. Is it manual or auto?

You most definitely got a great deal, bro. Welcome to the import side of life, and you could not have chosen a better vehicle.

Congrats! Looks good, I like the wheels. You definitely got a good deal on it.

Yeah, 150 is nothing to these cars. Motor will probably last you another 150k.

Welcome to NICO.

Yeah, definitely sounds like you got a great deal. You should have after market struts and shocks with the S-techs. Depending on the type, you may be able to adjust the dampening for a less harsh ride.

Any more shots of the suspension?

Because I'm looking to lower it soon and I'm 95% set on S-Techs. If you could post up some more shots, especially fender gap shots, I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, and as the others said, don't worry about the mileage!

I will put up some more pics of the suspension tonight. I have the 18" Z wheels on now. The car rides rough as hell now. I am going to put different shocks on to see if that helps.

unless you plan to put stock height springs on too be careful because soft shocks + lowered susp + fast cornering might = wheels rubbung on fenders.

I was also a mustang guy, had an 04 mach1. The i30 isnt quite the beat but its a good car and a LOT cheaper to own.

So far I love it. It has tons or room in it for my family. It is a clean looking sporty/luxury car that I think I got for a great price. I am planning on selling my cobra and getting a fox for a weekend car. The foxbody mustangs have my heart and always will.

what's the offset on the rear wheels? They don't look all pushed in for once! But that might be because it's a staggered set up? Get some Tokico Illluminas and adjust them to your liking

As someone who also came to Nissan/Infiniti from domestics, my maxima is the best car I've owned in regards to fit and finish, handling, and power...in a classy four door form.

My true love began in camaro's, I've owned a 75, 69, and 85 Z28. What's funny is that my 85 was rated the same hp from the factory (190) as my 97 maxima. While the maxima isn't rwd like the camaro, I never got 30mpg on the hwy in the camaro either.

Other then the power and maybe handling (we'll see when i get my suspension on) i agree 100 percent. My stang was 4 years younger then the i30 but the built quality of the i30 is much better.
