Just got back from Van Meter's. Wow. I am so effing lucky to have such a great Q45 expert this close to me. I regret not going earlier. Brian. Thank you. Thanks for referring me there. I told them I was referred by a man from Texas. They appreciated that.

Keith and I went on a road test. He made my Q do things I'd only heard about. It was AMAZING! That experience cemented my love and devotion to Q's. I'll never get rid of mine.

My transmission checked out. He said it's more of a driveline vibration and that the trans isn't too bad. He said that it doesn't need to be replaced anytime soon. He wants to focus on my chain guides and valve covers. The VC's are leaking. He said he could smell the oil burning. I never knew what that smell was, I just thought it was "hot engine".

Keith will be calling me back soon with the estimate for the guide job. I'm so happy right now.

Driving back was a BLAST! Whatever Keith did, he shook the cobwebs loose and my Q was a rocket on the highway. The whole way home, I was flying. Aw man. I'm positively giddy.

If you're on the East Coast, and the Tri-State Area in particular, please go see him if you have a Q. It's like he's the Jesus of Infiniti's.

Glad you invested the time. Most owners who do are rewarded commensurately.

Now save and spend wisely.

Lot of good information on this board. Learn it and use it to your advantage.

Mantua seems pretty close now, doesn't it?

I cringe when owners won't drive 150 miles for majosr service from a competent technician.

I'd always assumed Mantua was towards the north from me. I thought it was in Central Jersey. I Google mapped it and it was only 29 miles. That was awesome.

I'm really glad I went. Keith was impressed with my Q. He said that it's still quite virginal and is ready for lots more. I just hit 90k right before pulling into his shop.

The chain guide kit that Joe sells, is that the right price on the site, or will I get a better price by calling him?

I'll have to call him. Flying out to Arizona isn't in the cards right now. Thanks for the tip.

And always have your VIN to avoid running part change mix-ups.

What are those? I always have about 3-4 copies of my VIN + the one in the dash. Part mix-ups? Thanks for telling me before I placed any orders.
