Welp, just took mah g/f to see it because she's actually a bigger fan than I, which is damn near impossible. I'd definitely have to say it was great. The plot twists kept me very interested and the absolute 0wnage being laid down at all turns was extremely entertaining. I think it was about 2h20m long, and well worth the ***-numbing experience. As I'm sure most of you have sen in previews and whatnot, the One himself and Trinity do get it on, and only then was it made apparent why it was an "R" rated movie. :| Don't get me wrong, like any young, red-blooded male, I enjoyed the meaningless quazi-nudity but it being just that, meaningless slightly detracted from it all....but was still entertaining. :D

In short, I positively loved it, it met and exceeded my high expectations for the sequel to my personal favorite movie and had everything it should have; lots of subtle-yet-hilarious humor, jaw-dropping action sequences (many), a well-developed storyline with plenty of seat edge-riding material, and of course teh sex0r. A quick warning though, there is a bit towards the end that won't be double-digit IQ friendly so watch who ya bring or be prepared to tell question-asking newbs to STFU in the theatre. ;)

I SOOOO want to see this and I almost did tonight, but alas my buddy did not get enough preview tickets. I WILL see this movie soon and I cannot wait. And to think I was excited to see the Cadillac CTS in this movie. Too bad the CTS is already out, if they waited until after the movie came out I am sure they would have sold more. Oh well. I can't wait.

I saw it last night. the love scenes were dumb, and the fight scenes were almost too long at times. Regardless, the last hour of the movie picks it up quite a bit and is very cool. I loved the special effects in the fights and whatnot, but you won't see much of it the first hour.

Oh, and don't forget to sit through the 10-15 minutes of credits to see the teaser for Matrix Revolutions! It's pretty cool!

Yeah, I also saw it last night, at 10 00. I had to get there at 8 30 just to save us some good seats. The movie was awesome and i liked the music, some pretty good techno. Yeah, the love scenes were dumb and didnt really have nudity, cept for keanus azz. Yeah, at the end, you really have to pay close attention to what the person says, cuz he says so really geek azz stuff with words i never use and have never heard of. Be prepared to amzed at the special fx in the film. Really good fight scenes in there, or martial arts. I am also seeing this movie on friday. I jst cant get over how good it was.

some scenes are a little CGish and corny in that way, but almost everything is done very well to hide it. Most of the time you won't be able to tell or just won't care because it's so cool. :D The only time it bothered me was on the closeups during that big brawl with the Smiths...

I like the twist in the storyline. I love how it made so much sense with the first one. And I'm thinking this movie was written totally after the fact, and if that's the case, I gotta give props to the Wachowski Brothers and all others involved in the storyline. I can't wait to see if my theory about the Matrix is right.

All three movies were written together and was intended to be a trilogy. Once the Wachowskis went up to Warner Nrthers to see if hey could greenlight the next two matrixes, WB immediatly said yes.

If what you say is true, the Shaolin and the Wu-Tang could be dangerous!

I donno... I think it went from two extremes: either the scenes were overly catering to just meaningless (somewhat, anyways) nonstop violence, or over the top intellectual lectures on the truths of the matrix. They defiently tried to cater to the masses (omg the scene with the french guy and the cake he gave to that girl? :rolleyes ), while at the same time trying to keep those interested more for the story/history/more complicated bits happy. I dont think they blended it very well.... the movie came out looking cut into 2 very different parts. Anyways, my 2 cents.

ya I just saw it last night 2... People who are going to like it are the people who loved the first one. You have to be able to pick up symbolism 2....there is a LOT. I think the only 2 pointless things added were the love and dance scenes. If people want to spoil the plot there is a LOT that could be discussed, it has to be pretty vauge now :)

Very well put. As much as I loved teh movie, I was disappointed in the Wachoski brothers for using the "movie template" for the matrix. You know the template:

One sex sceneOne annoying, young, goofy characterGuy chooses girl over important stuff

The list goes on and on. The whole splendor of the first Matrix was that it didn't strictly follow these standards, it was more of a unique movie that had its own conventions. This one ended up a little too Hollywood-ed.

Don't get me wrong, though. Just like he said: absolutely stunning action sequences, great plot twists, and just a great movie overall. I plan on seeing it a few more times in the theatre, and you better believe I'm going to own it the day it comes out on DVD.
