Just got a VLSD for my vert. I'm going to start cleaning it up this afternoon after work. I have the part numbers for the axle seals and the rear cover gasket but I wanted to replace the breather valve as well but I'm not sure if I got the right part number. The number I have is 38322-P6400. Anyone verify if that is the right number? I'm going to order the parts later today or tomorrow. Here is a before pic of the diff and shafts:

Yup! 38322-P6400 is correct number. I got it from dealership and it was about $8. This should work on your diff too.

I see R32 on the pumpkin, so I'll assume a skyline, which had R200Vs in the lower trim models IIRC. Or maybe it was an R230v like the Z had. I can't really remember

Will those axles fit? Skyline shafts are longer than 240 axles and won't fit properly. If they are skyline shafts, your options are a) find 6 bolt output shafts or b) find axles from an early 90s J30 (there's a thread by Onizuka somewhere on the forums confirming the year he got his axles from)

All in all, looks like a good buy. Very clean!

The guy I bought it from said it was pulled from an R32. He also said that it would bolt right up....said nothing about the shafts wouldn't fit. He also said it had the 4.4:1 ratio Nismo gear. So should I try and get some J30 shafts? The 94 J30 had the 5 bolt shafts. Well I bought it for $150 so I don't think it was a bad deal. Let me know if you guys know the shafts will not fit...then I'll start sourcing some...and if any of you have a set send me a price to [email protected] or just post. thanks guys!

I just did a little research on the 92-94 J30 CV half shafts and I can get a set of newly remanufacted ones for $134.58. Hmm...might just price them at my local NAPA store right quick too. I know a guy that works there and I can get about a 10-15% discount most of the time. Hell...I'm riding out there...will keep you guys updated.
