Just got pulled over and ticketed for having yellow fog lights. The officer said that it is illegal to have any lights other than "white lights" anywhere on your car. I'm pretty sure some cars come with yellow fogs stock. Has anyone heard of this or gotten a ticket for it?

Only factory yellow foglights are legal.

LMAO. Fix it ticket or a fine? It even says on the box for off road use only, although I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for it.. the cop honestly must have had nothing better to do....

It's a fine, i know he was just wanting to write a ticket cause 2 more of his buddies drove up and he had a big smile on his face. Cops are everywhere tonight, saw 3 other people pulled over within a half mile of where i did. I got popped 1 mile from my house.

NOT TRUE AT ALL. at least in GA. that is..

i got pulled over once by a small city sheriff for having yellow lights in my dads s14 and he was gonna write me a ticket saying that any lights other than white are illegal, but he let me go.

later i had my dad call all his cop friends and they said there is no code against colored headlights. we even looked it up in the GA law book and there is nothing against it. here are a few links. hopefully they help.

no where in there does it say yellow lights are illegal it just say right here in this quote

cops r jerks wen it comes to pulling ppl and making up bs excuses to give u a ticket just cuz the envy ur ride... believe me they stopped me 2wice already. they ask if my record is clean or if ive ever been stopped be4 or gone to jail, then they make up there LAME a** EXCUSE! 1st the excuse was that i didnt have licenses plates bulbs wen the cop flashed his lights me wen he saw me across the street, then pulled me over && 2nd that my radio was too loud... I HAD NO RADIO!!! i didnt have one yet @ that time...

yeah thats the only reason i didnt get yellow fogs..i heard of people getting tickets for violet or yellow HIDsso i got the hyperwhite/blue fog lights and havnt got pulled over yet

Where I live its illegal to use fog lights if theres no fog. Especially if their yellow your guaranteed a ticket...even if there factory.

Around here we have the saying, "You're driving, its illegal." A cop can pull you for suspicion.
