yes, you read that correctly, I just got a '93 sentra with an se-r swap for $750. I considered it a steal. I saw the add on Craig's List and hurried up to have a look at it. I ended up pissing another guy off cuz I just sealed the deal and he was on his way with money and all, haha. too slow. The only issue is that it has bad rod bearings... so I'm gonna get a crank kit and fix it up nice. They put what I like to call a lazy man's paint job on it but it's not too bad and it has some "graphics" as they called them that have to go but besides that... not a bad car. I'll be picking it up Sunday, it's an hour drive away.

I just figured I'd share that with you guys, see if you think it's as good of a deal as I did.

I'll add a few pics when I get it.

It'll keep me on the road till I finish my bluebird swap in the b14

Don't waste your time on trying to fix the rod knock. You can get a motor in excellent shape from soko or tiger japanese. Save yourself the headache, by the time you tear that motor apart to fix it, you could have swapped it for about the same time frame. If the body is in good shape, 750 was a deal, even with a busted motor.

yup, the body is in good shape, not perfect but not bad enough to complain about for the price. The only problem with swapping the motor out for another is money, which I don't have much of. the crank kit is quite a bit cheaper than a motor. and yes I know about getting a jdm engine... I got a bluebird SR from Tiger Japanese.

Kick a** idea there but I have one question for you...What's special about the engine in the g20t? I thought they all had the same sr20de.... maybe not?

anyways, I'm already working on an sr20det setup in my b14... it's a t25 but it'll be fun too. I made my tail lights look nice for those who will be seeing them a lot.

alright, here's a question for you guys...When getting new rod bearings, they ask for what grade I want to get. To determine that, I have to look at the number stamped on the front counterweight on the crankshaft. 4 and 5 digits. Is there any way I can find out those numbers without having to take out the crank? Is it a stock number for the specific crank used? maybe that year engine or something... If anybody knows, and can help me out I'd appreciate it. it's a '92 SE-R engine. The crank should be the stock crank as far as I know. thanks

The G20t did have the same engine as the SE-R/SE-L/SE's of same years. Not sure what he's getting at there.

Given that you have a P11, Oatmeal, I assume you mean the P11 G SR? Interesting, but not really worth the effort when a JDM DET is going to make more power and take more boost anyway...

agreed. The sentra is gonna stay pretty much stock for now. The NA SR will do fine for me... I already have one DET, that's enough to keep me occupied and entertained. and yes the JDM det is a better option in my book. maybe I'll upgrade that to a t-28 one day, no reason to start from scratch on another car.

Yes the p11 g sr,I recommended the g20t because of how easy they are to find.I'm doing the same thing to my g20 and i'll post a build up thread,I'm shooting for 250-275whp on a six speed,it will be god.

spec v with a custom bell housing,it's been done a few times on g20's so I'm gonna give it a shot.I've read that you can chirp the tires going into 3rd on a stock sr20 with it so with 250ish whp it'll spin em easily without throttle finesse.

Ahhh, yeah, FI-R has done the conversion I believe.

Honestly, the P11/B15 SR trans is stronger and less problematic. Plus with the power you'll be making that extra gear isn't really necessary. IMO you ought to build the engine then drive it a bit and see if you really want the 6spd.
