just got a s14

hey i just got a 1995 240sx its still got the ka. im gonna do a sr20det swap just had a couple questions is there any difference between the s13 and s14 motors when it comes to installing them. i heard that the wiring is complicated. any advise would be appreciated thanks.

I would say go with the red-top sr20, it's a bit less complicated than the s14 notch-backs. S14 notch-backs do come with a T28 though so that's something to keep in mind if you don't mind the wiring troubles your gonna be set with

hey man i have a 95 with a s14 sr and if you do decide to go with the black top check out (wiringspecialties.com) they did my wiring and i had no problems..

im pretty good at wiring. i was gonna do it my self but this looks like it would be more like factory. thanks for the help.

still not sold on this idea and going with wiringspecialties.com. so if anyone has done the wiring for a sr into a s14 if you could let me know what need to be wired i would appreciate it thanks.

if your good at wiring i dont think you will have a problem. if it takes a little more time than its worth it because the s14 sr's are pretty nice. my brother has one in his s14 and he runs 15psi on his t28. he was smokin 370z's on the highway

I did my swap probably 4 months ago and it was an s14 sr into a 97 240. The wiring was the easiest wiring I have ever done in any swap. There is no complication to the swap, it's really just matching color's for the most part, and using your head.
