ok sir, you are correct. but I would never put the clear lenses that you meant in my zenki. it's like a very hot girl with see-through underwear. not that fun. I meant clean OEM lenses.

I agree.. BUT if you retrofit some projectors into the housing then they would look good

the problems with the car are:-Cracked windshield $100 fix -Oil leak...

If I let it sit somewhere for a little while after running it. There is about a tennis ball size oil spot on the ground also a few more spots around it. Anyone have any ideas? The fan was all gunked up and grimey.

I bought a new oil sending unit, and front main seal. Hopefully that will fix it.

When i start up the car if it sits for a good 15+ hours it'll start almost like the battery is shot (it is an olllld battery) But also it will only continue to run if i give it throttle for about 5 seconds. If not it dies. Then it'll idle smooth and no issues what so ever.

Car runs and drives great, just that problem at start up and the oil leak problem. Any input would be great on these issues.

And the tanabe coilovers are pro sevens i believe. they have a very nice feel so far.

saw the car in person today and it looks pretty good. the car def needs a little tlc but its in good shape in general. the paint is in nice shape but its def not an SE. no lip, 4 lug, black faced gauges etc. and teh diff doesnt have an lsd sticker so i am certain its not an SE, but its ok it was a steal. has tanabe front and rear strut bars and tanabe pro coilovers. the tint is crappy but the interior is very clean looking. i vote for ditching the wheels but i like the silvia badges.

btw let me know when you want the front windshield done, i know a guy that does great glass work for really cheap. he did my rear qp glass. i found him in the phone book but he ended up being a high school friend of my dad's. lol he swapped my rear 180sx glass in for only $75

Whatever the diff is, it definately feels 100X better than the s13 stock diffs. Insurance will do it for $100. Idk if your buddy can do it cheaper? haha

I'm gonna need some help fixing my leak though...

i attempted replacing the front main seal. everything went alright until I tried putting the new AC belt on. I could not get it on for the life of me. So i put the power steering and alternator belts on and put stuff back together. I tried to start it and it wont start. I hope its not from all the pressure washing I did in the engine bay. Maybe I tightned the pulleys too tight?

it goes to crank but it seems like theres a loss of power and it stops then tries to start again constantly (tries.. stops.. tries... stops..)

i did replace the spark plugs with ngk iridium IX though.

fixed it. must be bad battery or poor connection... oil is still leaking from somewhere or all the old oil is still coming out after the engine gets warm it loosens and drips? (sound logical?)

If your title states it is an SE. Then it is. I have the same car, basically from my research Nissan had two SE models.

One was the SE we all know - lip, 5 lug, white guages, and one was essentially a base model with a SE badge or a "base" SE.

I bought my car from the original owner who was an old lady, there was no way she put on a SE badge for no reason. Yet I still have 4-lug and everything you have. + the spoiler

When will you be available to help install those tension rods? Also I picked up s14 fog lights would you have any idea how to get those working? I saw you replied to a few posts about them. Do you know how to wire reverse lights as well?

There is a such thing as a base "SE" trust me on that. It is pointless because its not what you expect from a SE lol

that may be, this s14 has base cluster and everything else you'd expect from a base, but my point was that just cuz the title says something doesnt mean its correct.

thanks man. the wheels arent THAT bad, better looking in person definately. wheel spacers for the rear are a must eventually..

Today I replaced my oil pan gasket with a felpro cork gasket and some rtv black silicone gasket maker hopefully it holds, put on a z32 (big a**) fuel filter, put in new tension rods with energy suspension bushings in them, cleaned up the bottom of the engine bay a little, put on a grounding kit with 2g wires, found out my starter problem is due to my battery being bad, aligned my front bumper a little better. It was a busy day...

I'm letting my oil pan cure until to tomorrow then it should be good to go with a fresh filter and oil.

i know you asked about how to get the oem fogs going. if it hasnt been answered..... all you need is to get a relay and the headlight stalk with the fog light switch.swap stalks, install relay, mount lights, plug into factory harness and your good 2 go .
