Just Got a New AC DELCO Battery for free under warranty

My car battery has let me down a few times and was manufactured in Jan 2005. Distrbibution date was April 2005. It carries a 2 year free replacement warranty and up to 7 years (prorated warranty). Since I'm in within the 2 year time frame, and my battery failed the battery test at the AC Delco dealer, they replaced the battery for free. I went there yesterday and they they ordered the battery, it arrived today and they removed and installed the battery for free and gave me a full warranty on the new battery. I'm not complaining.

Did they give you any problems getting it replaced?

Not really. The first AC Delco dealer told me that my battery was fine according to the cheap tester he used, so I left immediately and went to the next closest one which happened to be 1 minute away and all went well there. His quality tester determined that my battery failed the test. Overall a positive experience.

I use Interstate MTP-24F, and never had a problem with free replacement under its prorated warranty. I went to a regional Interstate distributor and had it replaced there no questions asked.
