i went on a bussiness trip and found a turbo this week, its a t3 off of a thinderbird turbo coupe. the exhaust side is a .63 a/r and the compressor is a .60. i managed to get all the hardware , fittings bolts and pipes that go along with it. it has little shaft play and spins pretty good so its not too bad for a freebee but i had to ship it because i couldnt carry it on the plane with me. this should hopefully be good enough to keep my car running well for a month and i should have it on in a few days when it arrives.

you will like that turbo alot...it can easily push 22 to 25psi of boost efficiantly....thats almost like the grand national turbo...as long as its not spilling its guts (oil) into any of the housings then your fine...if it does just a smidge...you should have a while before it goes...but think of it like this...that turbo you have is worth a rebuild...thats the ideal turbo for our motors so if the seals go out...dont be afraid to learn and rebuild it yourself....plus rebuild kits are around 100 bux...so its not expensive....happy boosting.

im sure it could push that much boost but i am just trying to be reliable for now. my car ran really good on 11 psi with my last ****ty turbo so this one should be better for quick spool. the last one practically locked up under 3k rpms and made the car fall on its face but still fried the hides.

Maybe I missed the memo when straight T3s started to be able to push 22-25psi efficiantly, I guess the laws of physics up and changed on me.

its a straight t3...as in t3 exhaust and t3 turbine....but with the .63/.60 a/r's he will be able to get around 23psi efficiantly.......if it were a .48 then it wouldnt be able to....

I guess you missed the memo when turbo efficiancy was based off of the compressor map, huh?

(Man I'm so on fire with these hilarious "memo" jokes.)

But really. Stop talking. You're embarassing us.
