I just got a 1989 240sx coupe. It's in very good condition but......

The steering wheel vibrates while I'm driving (don't know at what specific speeds). Does anyone have an idea of what this could be?

Also someone told me that these cars are easy to steal. Any good ideas for a kill switch?

Thanks.

Welcome to nico, the vibration is coming from bad tire balancing, bad alignment or suspension. Try getting your tires/wheels balanced and get an alignment done, if that doesn't work, move to suspension. I too am researching, car security, so maybe others will chime in on kill switches.

Here's the link to a thread in the Audio, Entertainment, and Security forum from a while ago about wiring up a fuel pump kill switch.

Also have the runout and road force checked on the wheels and tires. Bent wheels will also cause a nice vibration.

move the clutch switch...go to radio shack and spend like 10$ some wire, crimp connects, and a push button, then mount the switch where ever u want, id put it under the driver seat on the right side so its hard to see but u can get ur hand down there and push it in...or u could get a toggle switch and cut and put it inline with one of the wires for the clutch... easy kill switchs, and cheap!
