I'd go for a nice exhaust sytem. That's about $500 gone there. You can always upgrade spark plugs for 0.5HP gain. Hah.

don't care about the environment? gut the cat = 0$ and about 30mins gain a ton of power.

if you don't plan on swapping 50 bucks for 91 cams, maybe a hotshot exhaust manifold, go save for forged internals/turbo kit. can switch to electric fan also.

i dont know why you think gutting the cat actually gains a ton of power. it will pretty much make your car sound like garbage. id either reccomend a hotshot header system or a high performance clutch. although you dont gain any power with the clutch, you can use the power you have in a much more effective way.

He already has an exhaust, douchies.

Definitely tires.

Otherwise, save your $500 and add another $1000 or so for a CA18DET swap. t3h win.

^ he said horsepower gain (but tires are the best bang for the buck)

A header, cams, or ECU would probably give you the most power. But if you plan to go turbo your KA, I'd definitely save that money for turbo parts.

if I'm not mistaking I think the SRs are going for $1200-1300, thats your best bet, but if you don't want to do a swap then go for a small shot from the bottle, either a 50 shot or 75!!........thats the most hp you're going to get for 500 bucks!

Nope, you're mistaking, SRs cost way more than that, even though they're not worth it (IMO). Back when they were less than $1500 they were a much better option.

Yeah, it closer to $3000 for a front clip.

The bottle is probably the most power for the money. You just gotta keep it filled.

I noticed this thread after I posted this morning...zerothread?id=130041
