I just got a 1994 300zx yesterday, and i'm curious if the paint that is on it is a stock color. Could it be black emerald?

Very true, I don't know how i feel about the bumper and might get a stock one, which is one of the main reasons i was wondering if the paint was a stock color. Just have to see whats up with it not going into gear while the cars on and i should have it on the road. I'm thinking its the clutch/throw out bearing.

Looks like Emerald Green to me as well which is stock, you can see the blue in the cobalt green- yours looks good, I like the color!
Is it a TT? If so the bumper would be OK since you can use the IC ducts, although it looks like your splash pan is missing. I'd get that replaced and check the clutch fluid cylinder by the brake booster and make sure there's fluid in it- that may be your clutch problem as it's semi-common for the seals to go out there, and it's a bit of a PITA to bleed the system due to 3 bleed points so you may only have some air ion the system.
Hit us up with any questions you may have along the way!

Thank you all for the compliments! It's just an NA, but im happy with that, hoping it will last a while as i plan on keeping it lol.
The clutch fluid cylinder has fluid, He told me he was driving and was at a red light and it just wouldn't go into gear. It was last Tuesday when it went out so he lowered the price and i got it. : )
I'll probably pull the transmission out tomorrow and see whats up. I also need to replace my valve cover gaskets i think, when i jacked the car up and crawled under it i saw some oil on each side of the block and i feel like I read somewhere that its common for them to leak.

Your issue with the trans not shifting when the car is on I can almost 100% guarantee is a slave cylinder issue and a easy cheap fix. Easy way to tell is to check for fluid under the rubber boot if there is fluid you know it's shot. I have been running a centric $25 dollar one from the auto parts store for a few years now after I blew mine out doing 0-60 times on a gtimer lol. Valve covers do leak over time usually from the rubber half moon's being old, well annoying it's not a huge issue and better left to when you have other reasons to pull the plenum.

Alright ill take a look at that when i get up tomorrow. If that's it that would be awesome. The slave cylinder still moves around when you push the clutch pedal but ill check to see if there is any fluid under the boot.
And i agree on the gasket issue lol. Too much work just to take all of that off for a little valve cover leak.

Took off the transmission this morning and found what i was expecting to be the problem as it happened on my 240sx when i had it.
One of the springs came out of the clutch.

What is a good replacement clutch? i don't plan on doing much to the motor so something that will hold up to just a stock motor will do. When i called the auto parts store they have one but its $200. Just wondering if there's a brand you guys like that's a stock replacement or a little better for cheaper than $200.

And getting to the top drivers side bolt on the transmission is a pain... lol, had to make a couple ft long extension.

Black Emerald. My 2nd favorite color, after Deep Purple Metallic.

For a replacement clutch, go here: http://www.importpartspro.com/nsearch.h ... 2291949654

They don't sell bad parts for our cars. Neither does Joe at ZSpeedPerformance. Great guy to work with as well.
