wont link directly to the page... hmmm. search the fidanza website by car make/model.

"SHIFTER #: 843200 NOTE: RB20 MODELS ONLY DESCRIPTION: There are so many short throw shifters on the market, however, only Fidanza has a shifter available that stands out amongst all others. These shifters are made from the highest quality aluminum and hardened steel. Three dimensional imaging and machining are used to get the finest profile for fit and functionality. The shorter the throw the quicker you go, and Fidanza will get you to the finish line first "

You are correct, they do make one for the RB20. And so does B&M and everyone else. Because the RB20 shifter is the same as the KA24(D)E and the SR20DET.

But the RB20DET, now that's another story...

I've checked the dealer book for B&M shifters, it has one number for "RB/SR/KA" so I guess they are all compatible.

its so freaking confusing. it has been debated to death it seems. ive been under the impression that RB20 and RB25 shifters are NOT compatible.

You guys are killing me. Notice that there is no "debate" by people who have tried installing these shifters. Google on RB25DET and RB20DET transmissions and you will see that they are vastly different around the shifter area.

afaik this is the only method for getting one of the nicer shifters (B&M) onto the RB20DET, and it will certainly NOT work for the RB25DET:zerothread?id=112010

I have the B&M in my RB20 and Ill tell you now the extra time and effort in installing it is was way worth it.

On a side note, a friend of mine was almost certain another Nissan transmission had the same plate pattern as the rb20det transmission (with the one hole bigger and offset a little bit). I will look and see if I can find another one that will bolt right up, but Im 90% positive it doesnt exist.
