Just found out my car is from Cali, what are the things that are diff from others?

Ok, I was going through this old warranty info booklet that came with my car when i bought it. I matched up the VIN written in teh card that was filled out in the back and apparently the person to buy this car new bought it in california. Now, my last car i owned was a 2001 mitsubishi mirage and this had california spec emmisions and it had stupid **** like a pre-catalytic converter and stuff.

What kind of things would my car have that others that aren't from cali dont' have? i was readin in the faq about cutting the speed sensor wire to remove the speed limiter and how it will trigger a code in cali cars, is this true for mine? Im not tryin to be a n00b but how can i tell forsure if my car is the cali version?

don't quote me, but i think it may be just the exhaust gas temperature sensor. close to intake manifold?
