Double check your MAF wiring as stated above. Black/White Wire is 12Volt (power wire).White Wire is 0-5V Signal (the wire that sends the signal to the ECU)Black wire is ground. (grounded at the ECU but can be grounded anywhere)Yes this is quoted from otterman but its right and I am lazy

is your engine well-grounded. this can cause similar problems.

Updates:

I check and the ignitor chip wasnt plugged in all the way. once it was plugged in properly the motor ran fine and idles prefectly. the only thing wrong now is that the car still wont rev pass 2,500 rpms. do you guys no anything else besides the MAFS that might cause this. please let me know.

how many times do we have to tell you....IT IS YOU MAFS and/or MAFS WIRING!.... hard wire the signal form the mafs to the ecu with a fresh wire and make sure the mafs has power and ground.... that'll at least tell u if its the wiring or not

Although, none of these problems problems deal with me, i think its helpful to the board if you post the solutions to all your problems. Saying its fixed doesn't really help anyone down the line. Say these guys the aggravation of having to answer questions over and over.
