Just finished DOHC swap cant get motor to run properly.

Ok so I finished my DOHC swap and when i first started up the car it would not idle and barely run so I checked the ECU for codes and got the code for the MAF. so I replaced it and the motor idled but when I gave it gas would start to hesitate then just stall. now the motor went back to not even idleing and the ECU isen't throwing any codes. I dont know where to start next and it's starting to get frustrateing trying to figure this out! help please the search let me down
