I just finished my 5 speed swap in my s14 and I'm having a bit of a problem. When the car is running, and I put it in gear, it dies. But if I start it up in gear, it stays running. I should also mention that when it's running, it is REALLY hard to put it in gear. I've done two swaps before in s13's and never had this problem.

I was thinking I might have wired my clutch pedal in wrong. I cut the green and black wire on the sensor on the left side of the brake pedal and connected each end to the sensor on the back of the clutch pedal bracket. Is that correct?

I'd appreciate any help.

You want to jumper the two switches together:

- cut the green/black wire on the left side of the Brake Cancel Switch
-- wires coming out of the Clutch Cancel Switch are green/white and green/black
- connect one wire from the Clutch Cancel Switch to the remaining piece of wire coming out of the Brake Cancel Switch
- connect the other wire from the Clutch Cancel Switch to the harness where the wire coming out of the Brake Cancel Switch was originally connected

That's what I did. I guess it's not the wiring then.

Something wrong with the clutch it seems. Either clutch pedal/master/slave/bleeding or the pressure plate is bad. Something isn't releasing the clutch plate. I'm having a similar problem on my Vert, but mine has to be the pressure plate.

Dude thanks. I went and bleed the slave a few more times and now it's working great  Hope you get yours straight.
