Hi, just putting my car back together after several months. Was auto but will be manual. And someone probably allready asked this before. Just need a word of the wise, second opinion.

1. Ok (Clutch master cylinder), it has a clevis at the end of the stroke rod+ a jam nut, had an old one from junkyard but returned it and never took off the clevis and nut. Bought brand new Cmc at Napa but it did not come with the clevis. Did anybody ever run it something like that, or does anybody know where to get a new clevis+jam nut? Need to get one ASAP, and I havent seen any 240's manual at the junkyard any time soon. Does like Sentra or Maxima or even J30 have CMC similar to 240 possibly with clevis of that size? I will still check with the store but just wanted some input first.

2. Clutch, is there any difference between ka24de and ka24e clutch, Flywheel, pressure plate? I was going to buy brand new flywheel and clutch kit at Napa, but they gave me that bs about what type of flywheel is it, does it have a step of .006", is this only for KA24E.Because I thought that the clutch parts were interchangable between KA24E and KA24DE.?

Right now I'm putting in the KA24E with manual trans I got (trans came off of SOHC 240sx I think, dont remember maybe DOHC). But I have a '95 KA24DE that I would like to us in the future with same manual trans. That's the reason I'm asking. But the clutch I got right now (for the mean time) came off of SOHC KA24E Pickup (Flywheel, clutch disc, Pressure plate) . Am I going to have any problems using those parts? Probably later on I will upgrade to something better, but for now this will have to do.

And for the future reference, Is there a universal clutch kit for KA24E+KA24DE, or are the all the same no matter what year or model?

Thanks, P.S.Anybody looking for good FSM(factory service manual) try 240edge.com and click on manuals hyperlink, I'm sure you will be glad you did if your looking for good FSM. I's a cool website, check it you if you havent heard or see it yet.

Sorry 4 the spelling

When I did my swap I picked up a clevis pin at tractor supply. But any hardware store should have them. I can't help you on your second question, sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I drive a semi-truck sometimes I dont have access to computer or I just get back realy late.

I got the clevis and the jam nut. I just went to a different junkyard today early in the morning. Only one 240sx and with manual trans, just my luck. Seems like when I ordered the part, I ordered the CMC without the clevis. The one with clevis is like 5-7 bucks more, I got it for free just enterance fee of 2 bucks and some work time to remove it.

I looked at some clutches on ebay. Has anybody heard or used XTD brand clutches? The XTD stage 3 is like $129 orF1 Racing stage 2 is $126 but their stage 3 is $125?Or I might just get Exedy generic/standard clutch kit for ($92 for ka24e)($97 for ka24de) dont know why the price difference because both KA24e/de us same style.model transmission?????????

If someone has used any of these clutches let me know how they are?

Thanks

If I order one on ebay hope it comes in before Saturday, want to throw the motor+trans in on saturday and maybe get it running. But before that I have to put the entire wiring in interior+exterior :-{}
