Well, we just bought a new 09 Altima coupe 2.5s fully loaded. We kinda backed into it since we were going to replace the mustang that got totaled with another one. Just happened on the lot yesterday and fell in love with the car. Busted out a great deal. ( I think) The sticker was about 29,000 and we got them down to 22,450 before fees. a 1.9% loan and added 100,000 mile warrenty since my wife will be driving about 20,000 miles plus a year. Went for a short drive today and have no buyers remorse. Can the lights on the console panel be dimmed all the way somehow? Whats up with the nitrogen filled tires? Looking foward to some custmizing and meeting new people. Ist project ...fog lights, sun roof wind guard and dash cover. Tim

First off, congrats on getting your a/c! a/c > mustang

Not sure on the dimming part, but i can answer the nitro fill. Supposedly the nitrogen fill in the tire is less damaging to the tire itself since nitrogen is inert and will prevent oxidation from the inside out of the tire. Air is roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1% other random assorted stuff, and the oxygen content of air is what damages the tire. This is all assuming I remembered my high school chemistry correctly (the numbers should be somewhere in that neighborhood)

Welcome aboard.

To dim the lights there are two little knobs coming out of the plastic right in front of your gauges. The one to your left will dim the lights, if your head lights are off, then they won't turn OFF, but if your lights are on then they will.

I've read numerous ads and while I have heard that explanation once or twice, the most common reason they try to sell you on is it's less likely to lose pressure in cold weather..

Thanks all, They just don't dim enough for my taste. I will post pics soon. Although, probably a little boring for the most of you since it is just stock. Silver ext, black leather int, Bose sound, Window tint already though. We would of got a 10 but, couldn't pass up the deal on the 09. I can already see a 3.5 in my future.

Congrats on the purchase! Sounds like a great deal. I just picked up a 2010 3.5 myself, I originally had the 2.5 but once you get behind a 3.5 there is no turning back!

Yeah, the 2011 Mustang GT is 412hp and about 400 pounds tq but has the same MPG as a 3.5 coupe. Crazyness...

Oh and welcome.

The tang was rear ended about 40 mph from a dead stop at a light and shoved up under a truck. Payed for and pampered turned in new car and payments. Yes, the 2011 mustangs are supposed to get great gas milage but, just needed a change. Really didn't like the new body style changes in 10. So, in comes the AC. So far, still lovin it. It was 32 degrees in southwest Florida yesterday morn > loved the heated seats, just won't get to use them much.

Gotta check and see what I can modify without canceling the warranty.Probably just cosmetic stuff.

Congrats man on a good deal. I bought my $28k 3.5 coupe for $23k. I was like yah gimme a deal or I'm walking. Haha.

Well I did notice something though, you said it's fully loaded, yet it doesn't come with fog lights? I hate how Nissan has some retarded packages. Enjoy your car man. Oh and for aftermarket customization, you can do MORE than cosmetic.

A Nismo/Stillen cat back exhaust and header will go nicely on your 2.5....and won't void your warranty (as long as there is no damage caused by this stuff).

Just can't figure out why the car don't have fog lights. The brouchure is F$%#ked up. It has the convienience package (CP), Premium package, sun roof (P1), Leather Package (L) Since someone else bailed I got it with tinted windows lifetime warranty and the gas filled tire deal, lifetime free oil change and tires up to 100,000 miles.

Make sure you never put compressed air in those tires. It should have green valve stem caps so that service people will know, but still be consience of what people do with your tires. Supposedly mixing them will cause serious damage to your tires.

Sounds like you got a sweet deal, even without the fogs. Hell, with all the stuff you got for free, you could afford to have them installed if you wanted them bad enough. Welcome to NICO!
