the e brake light has nothing to do with the BMC

that's more likely the problem. the e brake light isn't connected to anything on the car except the toggle switch on the lever itself. Unless anyone can show me otherwise on the schematics itself.
As for needing the z32 BMC its debatable, they are bigger rotors, but the caliper has more leverage so less effort is needed to grip. then again there was some pretty useful info on all that here
