just my 2 cents......... be careful using Simple Green under the hood as it has a tendency to permanently alter the look of aluminum parts{they get dull and "etched" looking}Silicone will attract dust and grime in all the nooks and crannies that will be hard to wipe down like a fly to light, and will alter drive belt traction

I do like a clean engine but am not a fan of the glazed and glossy look...IE shiny rubber hoses and parts. Reminds me too much of shady used car lots trying to shine up junk I guess. I'd just clean my engine and let it be.

I fixed them.

You have to Right click (the image), scroll down to properties, then highlight the url of the jpg, gif or bmp.

I hope you did not spray your hoses with silicone. I have people do this and tend to crack hoses prematurely. Thus in my experience When you degrease your hoses this does the same thing. I have been detailing my engine for a while. I degrease my engine, then I use tire foam on all my hoses and rubber. Lasts a long time and no scrubbing!

I'd check your brake pads. Judging by your brake fluid level I'd say that you need new pads.
