I was wondering about a few things since I'm considering if I should get that 'transmission re-burn/ECU upgrade' done ... I really haven't noticed any problems yet, so I may not even need it - but I heard it's relative to your VIN # ..

So, would anyone care to share the BUILD DATE and last 4 numbers of your VIN on your M45 ? I haven't seen a higher VIN than anything in the 6xxx range ...

mine is 4198 and was built 11/02 .. All the M45's I've seen had even LOWER VIN #'s (some were higher) and were built anywhere from 8/02 to 12/02 ...

I cannot remember the details exactly, but my build date was 10/02 and the final four VIN digits are less than 4000 for sure (the first digit is a 3 for sure and I do not recall the rest).
