Hey guys,

I see lots of new people just in the past 2 weeks I've been MIA. I was in the process of moving houses so I didn't have power/cable for afew days, then hurricane Charley came and shut them all right back off again:mad:

I just got my power on yesterday (but my A/C decided to die, so my house is still 90+ degrees!) and I still don't have cable, so no internet. I'll have to post some pictures of the damage, because its almost surreal! I grew up in winter park (afew miles from my current place near the University) and its like a different town now. It had TONS of old oak trees and every street was covered with a canopy of branches. Pretty much every other tree is down following the hurricane. Its pretty sad seeing all the wonderful old oaks gone:(

Oh well, life's a bit<h. Luckily my house was fine and the car was in the garage and it didn't sustain any damage, and neither did any of my friend's or family's houses. Anyways, you guys take care and I'll be back when my cable gets restored, just felt like checking in while I was on campus:)

Take it easy,Sean

allright, figured i'd update with some of those pictures that I promised (before the next one hits us and knocks me out for another week or two)... stupid hurricanes. (for those of you that don't know, we have another huge one headed our way, supposedly this weekend around noon saturday, so if I disappear for another week, thats why). on with the pictures!

these weren't taken by me, but they are of places either in my home town (Winter Park) or just around orlando... its started cleaning up, but the city says it could be up to 6 months before they can clear all the debris. This is the first major hurricane to hit the inland section of Florida in something like 40 years!

this is in Winter Park... the streets went on like this for miles in every direction. you couldn't drive for the first few days!

the initial band of the hurricane's storms... looked really scary coming over top of the city.

In Winter Park again...

not sure where this was taken, but it was repeated in many yards in almost every neighborhood... my neighbor got one on the corner of their house...

a house in Winter Park near my roommate's parent's place. they got a tree that went through their garage and damaged his hood.

traffic before the storm of people trying to leave town...
