and now that im done, it started making this loud slapping noise, like the timing chain tensioner isnt working correctly, but once the motor gets over 2,000RPM the sound goes away, any clues?

Bad bearing in the dizzy? Are they sleeve or ball bearing...?? Oil pressure light isn't coming on? You got some pieces of the old dizzy gear rattling around in the chain assembly? Hell pull the valve cover and check the tensioner, you should be able to see it/check it with a screwdriver.

why unplug it i dont understand that? but we didnt unplug it when we changed it. And no there are not possible parts from the dizzy that could rattle like this and then go away after 2000 RPM. My guess was timing chain tensioner, and now i got the bad chain rattle.

Adjusting timing and not unplugging your TPS. what can that cause?

the tps job is to send a feedback signal to the ecu so it can just load rating, more load the ecu will then retard ignition timing, unplug the tps while ur timing light is on the marks and you'll see what i mean.

Yes i found out today. Just needed to get my hands on a timing light. Timing was set at 20 Btdc, unplugged tps, raced engine a few times, plugged back in tps, now timing is at 15+-3

I know, thanks. I just wanted to feel the difference, the timing made. but i feel no difference other than it takes till 2000+ rpm to get going.
