Just caught drifting /no actually sliding

I was taking a drunk friend to his apartment when he started harrasing me about how slow i was going and how much 240sx sucks.To prove him wrong i went upto 50 mph and made a 90 degree right turn.Nicely sliding(think it cant be classified as drifting) and tail flipping to come face to face with a cop car. OH the HORROR. I did not hav my inspection and insurance as they were in my room. Also the brakes were not holding at all and I was running on test pipes. SO the car was totally illegal at the moment.] Now i have to pay them 300$ and i got absolutely no money. I guess i will sell my car as I owe s**t load of money to all sorts of people because of the car . This is getting on my nerves so much . Just felt like ranting

I did that in my 240 as well. I was racing a GT mustang and I was on the rev limiter (120 or so) and we flew by 3 cops. Their heads snapped up, but lucky for us they had like 5 guys on the curb handcuffed, so they couldn't exactly come get us. Just to be safe neither I nor the mustang let off and we hit the interstate a block later. Needless to say, I was terrified for a few moments.

Cops are always in the back of my mind while I'm driving.

I never go over 10 mph over the speed limit, and I only exceed that in order to pass a car.

I never drift on busy streets... only in my neighborhood on one turn at ~40mph.

I don't think you should sell the car just because you're mad at it.. you can make it through this.. just hang in there buddy!

i was too focused on the road and the egt gauge because i was pushing 18 psi, then noticed the blue NYSP car, the speedo, yell the f word a couple times, and i just pulled over before he even put his lights on. he gave me a break for not having to chase me, and only wrote me up for 83 in a 55 instead of the 120. the worst part of it was that i know that highway is a major cop area, and i was taking it easy for the first 30 mins, oinly going like 65-70. then this black 96 ish mustang GT with some loud *** exhaust came up on me. downed to 4th, started pulling on him, got like 3-4 cars ahead of him then sailed by the cop.

the best part of the story is that since they wrote so many tickets, the local court took 2 years to give me a court date. by the time i went to court, the trooper had gotten promoted and all the people there that got a ticket courtesy of him [like 7 of us] got our cases dismissed.

^Thats great to hear you never got in any trouble for it. I lost my licience once for 30 days for having too many speeding tickets. I cringe when I go bye a cop even though I hardly ever speed. I wish I could have gotten out of losing my licience, but I saved alot of money in that 30 days with not having to pay for gas and things.

Im a very bad driver. not in terms of skills, but in terms of following the rules. i have a class B CDL, Tow Truck endorsment, but i drive like an ******* wherever i go. i cant help it. i figured getting an SUV would slow me down, but now i just beat on other trucks. ive even killed a few civics in my durango [5.9 L]

the infiniti is gonna get me in a lot of trouble if i can get around to building it.

come to think of it, i shouldnt have gotten a powerful truck...

the best was when i was still towing. ever see two people drag race tow trucks? its hysterical.

reminds me when I was 19 and pop wheelie in my Baja bug in frount of cop I didn't see... Guy pulls me over starts yeling and cussing at me grabs my licence say he is writting me up for all this stuff like wreckless driving and exhibition of speed... throws the ticket book on hood get ready to write and recognizes my name cause I bought a motorcycle from him a few years before... he starts laughing and lets me go...

oh and Legio, sell someone's tv who you don't like or something to pay for the ticket, or perhaps you'll get lucky and get out of it, doubtful though. How many tickets have you had in the first place?

my uncle works at a Chrylser dealer (pimps the parts, I think he gets a good commision check:D) and some guy has a SC'd R/T, it apparenlty sucks though. I reckon the guy did something wrong to it for it to not kick ***.

I watched a lightly modded (exhaust maybe intake) R/T beat Skwerel down at Auto X, pretty funny, he'd run a quicker time, then the R/T would come back and get one faster, Krazy Skwerel just couldn't get him the last time though...

I want one of the hard to find Durango R/T's or better yet, a Shelby Durango:)

Calls for my story.

After I did suspension/wheels earlier this year I decided to go to LA to visist a frind of mine. So I'm hauling 110-115 on i-5. 2PM, empty road, lotsa sun. In front of me maybe 3 miles ahead I see a car. I'm not catching up on it !!!

After maybe 2-3 minutes I see that it is a white sports car I dropped it to 90 and started catching up on him slowly , WTF ??? At about 1 mile distance I realize it is a CHP Camaro. I'm slowing down ever more, he slows down and takes right-exit , I continue going 75.

As I pass under the bridge I see that he's going to make U-turn and go back on the freeway. BUSTED. Now check this out , in the right lane there are 5 semis going 55-60, as I slowly pass the last one he changes lanes and starts passing all other semis.

I'm like W00T, window of opportunity. I was going at WOT for maybe another 10 minutes untill I hit the first exit and went and parked at the back of the gas station where I chilled reading a book for good two hours.

Rest of the trip I was going 75.

Weekend was fun.

On the way back i found what we call a "sponsor" that was going 110, I was back in Berkeley less than in 5 hours.

nah i have the SLT, there went any R/T 's in stock when i got mine, but its the same motor, and i put exhaust on it anyway. the exhaust makes the 5.9 sound mean. i gotta get a firewire cable so i can take pictures of stuff. its silver, 20% black tints, rainguards, 3 1/2 in exhaust, it came with some 18 inch chrome, but they were cheap and started corroding so i put the stockers back on. black leather, stock cd/tape with infinity speakers/tweeters. thats about it. the only thing i dont like about it is the fake wood on the dash.

its probably the 4.7 there alright if your not pulling anything heavy. the 5.9 's got 250 hp/ 350 lb.ft i was thinking about a vortech at 8 psi, but the damn thing gets 12 mpg as it is, so im not going to do anymore to it. i like it the way it is now, i get it to 115 pretty often, doesnt like to go 120. its got the torque for low end excelleration, i just wish it had a little more up top. 320 hp would be nice, but the gas mileage wouldnt get any better.

one time when my parents were outta town, i was joyriding w/ my friend in the G35...bout 2 am, and as i came around a intersection that was not extremely sharp. i decide to whip it around n pull a real sweet drift...i was at the top of 2nd gear so i just stomped on the brakes and tossed it left and drifted really nicely...countersteered...recovered...passed a cop...he knew the cloud through the intersection was from me...he knew the tires screaming bloody murder was me...but he couldnt to jack cuz eh didnt see anythign :ylsuper

Mustangs get me into trouble....one weekend I was at ocean city maryland visiting a friends and I get to talkin about my car and I said something like I can beat a gt with no prob. Well this one kid gets all offended by my "rice burner" and challanges me. I smoke him not once but three times before he gives up. So with this in mind I am flying home to PA on sunday night and this red gt pulls up on me to pass me so I down shift and hit the remote bottle opener and its on. I win again or I thought I did. I slow down to let him come up beside me so I can laugh at him but as he does I see flashing lights in my side mirror and when he gets beside me he flashes his badge and then laughs at the me. I was so glad he let me go.

Holy crap, sounds like god was on your side. Being in Highschool doesnt help me at all when i get pulled over. You guy's have all these elaborate story's. I get pulled over for not wearing my seatbealt.($25) One day i want to see a cop outside his car while i fly by giving him the finger.
