Congrats on the purchase. I'm going to move your thread to the M section so you can get some better answers for your questions. Post up some pics of the ol gal!

hmm. Swapping out the radio to one that has Nav and the rear camera is somewhat difficult and quite expensive. The units are only OEM and anything OEM is always pricey, but then when the word Bose is added on it gets even more expensive for no reason :( I know there are 1 or 2 other people here who did a swap to add in navigation, you can try finding them through the search of this subforum. I dont remember anyone adding in the rear view backup camera as well though, but Im sure it is possible with the right hardware. Your best bet I think would be to troll Ebay to find a used but good condition Bose unit for these cars that has the Nav in it as well as the Nav DVD player. Otherwise Im sure you will be paying wards of $2K for a new one from the dealer, if you can even still get it.

Congrats on the m35!

As for your question, I don't think it will be worth it on terms of value, if you really need to have these options I would consider looking for after market parts or trading the car for one with the options you want.

Congrats that motor is fantastic. For maintenance follow Infiniti recommendations. I did plugs on mine every 60k miles. Do not ever touch the throttle bodies butterfly. I serviced my cars transmission every 30k and never had any issue even with all the racing.

I think you can swap out the nav unit pretty easy and the wiring for blue tooth is there you will have to change your trim around the inner part of the steering wheel for it to work correctly.

Welcome King! You will find plenty of help and ideas on this forum. Congrats on the 07 model - I love this body style!

To answer your question ... When peeps on here added reclining rear seats, rear DVD screen, XM rado, and other optional equipment and they found that the wiring and bits were already there even though the option wasn't added to the car at the factory. I reckon if you can find a used radio and DVD nav player for your glovebox, you might also find the car was already wired for it from the factory even though those features weren't installed. That will make the project much easier. The hard part is finding the actual parts.
I'm still looking around for a used 2008 instrument cluster as that year has white / blue colouring instead of yellow. That's already been found to be a perfect match for the 2007.

If you want to upgrade to factory NAV, it's cheap, and a breeze! I did it in about half an hour with OE parts from eBay. Just search for the NAV DVD unit, plus the console with the NAV controls. Both are easy plug and play, and should cost you less than $300. You do NOT need to change out the radio itself to do this, as the car already comes pre-wired to accept the NAV upgrade. (I have an M35x base, so I know this for sure). You could also upgrade to the slightly larger screen, but it's not necessary (I didn't). I also bought the USA-SPEC iPod module, which allows for both iPod and bluetooth streaming integration (so I can stream Pandora from my phone). Again, this is cheap and easy. The only thing that might be more difficult to do is add the rear backup camera. But I haven't tried it, so I'm not sure.

I couldn't find any on EBAY, and I was curious to see what the total would come out to as my M is a base as well, though I've made a few changes on the inside.

I was just thinking. If you add the DVD player to the glovebox and use the pre-wired harness, won't you also have to change out the multi-switch (the one with A/C, info, status, etc) to one that has the NAV buttons as well? On my year M, the cars without NAV don't have any buttons for NAV on the multi-switch.
