I just bought these aftermarket wheels on craigslist... They came off of a guys 1991 300ZX TT... But i liked em and for $120 how can you say no... They are dirty in the pics but there is no curb rash whatsoever and my plan is to get some chrome polish and polish em up... hoping for a nice set of rims for a cheap price so this is what i got

What yall think? unaware of brand but i will update post when i pick them up hopefully tomoro .... OH BTW these are going on my Pearl White 1999 Maxima GXE along with some Altezza Tail lights

just not my personal preference. i think some black paint and red clear tails would do some justice here.

I have to go jltibbs those wheels dont look good to me but to each his own. Im more of a thin 5spoke wheel myself. like those black ones on that white maxima but not black i want some nice chrome ones for my Maroon 95maxima. Also where do you get those tail lights? I want some to replace the ugly altezza ones on my car.

Wow i used to see guys with these on there Civics and mini-trucks when I was a tyke.

I dont know, I just dont think these complement the Maxima. But im a sucker for upgrading wheels with newer OEM rims. I'd say the stock 350Z 18's look really good on older Maximas.

Wow...I'm actually gonna go with

Unlike the others....I think there bangin.

When I saw your thread at 1st I was like...damn...another fail...till I saw the rims.

They just seem sorta old school. There is a b13 sentra (stock minus wheels) running around Edinboro with wheels similar to those one and it looks sweet.

Now I'm really gonna have to seem them on the car to make my final decision. But overall...ESPECIALLY for the price of 120 bucks. You got a good deal and some nice wheels for your maxi.

Now your NEXT purchase BETTER be suspension. Please.

Oh and jltibbs, normally most of your black on white pics look good. But those wheels in that pic just need a bit of a lip and without them they look like *** IMO (no offense). Also...not sure if I'm a big fan of the tails either...on the fence between nice and rice.

I'd vote DON'T paint them.

Thanks PB... i like em too ... and im not painting anything... just a good old fashioned chrome shine up job and the tails... and if i get the tails put em on and dont like em ill sell on ebay and put stocks back on... the suspension was already put on before i joined the nico my friend... that was step numero uno ... btw the rims are upgrade from 15" to 16"...

there was no mesh grill, thats the stock 95-96 grill. and sadly enough they dont interchange. you can get speed grill inserts from street scene.

yea you would have to run the 95-96 bumper just to run the grill. hey jltibbs you got any other pics of the Q45?

If your going to go outside the Nissan/Infiniti family of wheels save up for some really nice ones. Good deals wont always yeild the best results.

I saw an A32 with these on it and it looked freakin sick.

Jltibbs..

Yeah those work euroline dh are pure sex...

IMO Maximas/I30's only look good with updated OEM, or the VIP style.

I'd say leave the sports type wheels, meshies, etc to the s13/s14 body styles.

BTW/your max looked best in the later years w/the cefiro conversions.

Gavin,

I'm sorry to say it, but I gagged a little when I saw what you bought. I was expecting some ugly chromies with black plastic and you succeeded in further letting my expectations dwindle.

When they mentioned suspension, they were talking about lowering it. All you've done is replace the struts which does a whole lot of ..... Maybe your braking distance has improved, but that's about it.

Also, if you do get lowering springs, make sure the struts can handle it and get camber adjusters. Or you'll be buying tires like they were bubble gum.

I would suggest the 18" G35 rims. They're a little big, but they look amazing on the Max/I30.

Also, going from a 15-16 doesn't do much either. All you see is 1/2 less tires all the way around.

I would personally suggest getting some nice 17s or 18s with wide tires and dropping her an inch or so.

You can probably get a deal by calling around to the various dealers and asking them if they have any blems or take offs. Try to get a set with tires and you'll be good.

EW... thats all i have to say about the G35 rims on my Maxima ... those would look gross-tastic ... at least IMHO... its true... i know the 15-16 isnt a big change but i just listed the change because it is one... small but still a change... I think these will look good on my Maxima after a good pressure wash/ shine up... Im not gonna get big old 18s... way too large for the maxima in my opinion... I want class with speed... not huge chrome plated 300 pound wheels that makes my car twice as heavy... To lower it? maybe after a while... cant do too much at a time... gotta have some cash to take the girlfriend out ... and again... I think they will improve the look of my Maxima greatly... I like em

OH jltibbs... may be wrong time but are you selling anything off that maxima or did you just sell the whole thing for parts?
