they are staggared. front is 17x7.5? rear is 17x8.5.

My question is what size? i want a decent tire life. i have no suspension upgrades on the car they are for. my wife drives it about 4 miles a day. I am wondering about tire stretch also. How do i know what sizes will stretch to fit? I see it mentioned in many of the tire size questions, but i dont see any threads on how it changes tire life, or performance either? can somebody tell me or send me a link they know of....i didnt find anything.

My primary goal is that I dont want an extremely low profile tire. I want it to look good, and perform well.

Go with the same size tires that the AP2's ('04+ s2000) come with215/45/17 f (225/45/17 might be better for your car though)245/40/17 r

Here is a decent list of all season and lower performance summer tires. Nothing high performance resulting in short tire life. The rubber on these tires are fairly hard.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...t=All

For your situation, I'd go with these. Cheap and good tire life.http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...R7ZRI

If its a daily and your wifes drives the car I wouldn't recommend a tire stretch if you want to keep the lips of your rims in good shape. A stretch will be a little firmer with less roll, but I don't think it matter because you are on stock suspension.

I have those wheels but 17x8.5 all the way around. Im running a 225/45/17, and its a mild stretch.

Id run; 215/45/17 front235/40/17 rear

thanks guys...I really appreciate the help. so i am understanding that a stretch will stiffen the tires performance and increase the chances that the lip gets damage...If nobody tells me im a dumbass on that i will assume i understood you guys right. But thanks. I really appreciate your assistance.
