Ok Got into an accident with my sister in her car and we totaled her Camry...

Geico sucks and only gave us 7900 for her 2005 camry...

I bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (Top of the line) with 93k miles (her Camry had 120k miles) for 6658.00 on ebay... The trade in value is 8500 lol

I love ebay!

Have any of you guys had a Grand Cherokee 99-04... is their anything I need to look for before i seal the deal?

Specs

4.7L V8 High output

7k lbs tow package

295hp and 340lbs Tq lol

It is Really nice and we love the way it drives (we drove another v8 limited)

Thanks Guys

Sorry to hear about your accident but is sounds like no one got seriously injured.

Good luck - A Chrysler with 93k miles is a dicey move. I hope you checked the Carfax to confirm no major issues.

FWIW - Those cars are failry heavy and the front ends were a bit sloppy so they chewed through front suspension components (and tires) pretty regularly. the V8 is pretty robust and you should expect to get about 12 -14 MPG around town.

I don't have any experience with GM but I do agree the gasmilage won't be great. If you don't care about that than you should be good. I know my coworker got one not sure if it is the v8. Never bothered asking. He is around 200k now. It only failed hime 2-3 times. 1st did not start second and third was something with the interior lights were flickering. Other than that he always takes that car for a long trip. He is picking that over his Saab.

I can tell you that the 03 and 04 were the only good years for the Grand Cherokee. Steering issues and suspension issues are all you'll encounter with the 2002 though. Nothing serious as that was the 4th year and they were built fairly well. My Jeep buddy tells me 99 to 01 are the years to avoid. At 93,000 miles just have the suspension and steering systems checked out and make sure there's nothing serious.

Got it today and it sure is nice...

I got 16.7 mgp in stop and go traffic in Tampa.... I got 19.7 going 85 on the Highway!

It drives really nice!

The Overland really has all the Toys..

The 4.7 HO V8 is really fast and is a Tq monster! And that thing will jump when you floor it from a stop light...

The Qudradrive really is a nice feature because it gives you so much grip!

Thanks guys for your post and yes we are all doing ok! My sister is still recovering from her Broken Sternum!

Being a Jeep and all, it should go Overwater, too. Right?

Looks very nice!!! Have always liked Jeeps even though their reliability is rated lower than what I like to see. However, my best friend has had his forever now with very little troubles.
