Hi guys,

Just wanted to express my excitement at having purchased my first NEW car.

Last night I purchased a black SL CVT Hatchback w/ aluminum kick plates, floor mats, ABS, splash guards, and beige interior. I'll be picking it up after work today! I needed the day to arrange insurance and get documentation for my rebate. Price came to 16,000 before tax/title/docs/rebates/trade in. Any opinions on the price.

Any suggestions for what to check out before I accept delivery and drive away tonight?

Thats actually a good price i think, i paid sticker price for mine which was around 14.5k but i have the S model with just the power and appreance package. And when you go to pick it up, look over EVERYTHING. If there are any faults/dings/dents/paint chips/etc. anything like that, point it out to the dealership and they will fix it otherwise you could get stuck with it or have to repair it yourself. Oh, and congrats too, my versa is my first NEW car too I love it. Not one problem with mine so far....except for the dealership being...a dealership...

Hope you like the car man

Congrats on the new V! That is going to be a sharp looking car. I've always loved the look of a black car with tan interior. Very classy. Be sure to post pics when you can.

Congrats and definately a good price I'd say, since my '07 was around $16 with 6spd and isn't the CVT close to a $2k option?

I'll admit I'm biased to the black ones as well.

Picked it up and I'm loving it.

Only gripes are 2 small spots on the interior, dealer said they'll redo the interior and wrote it on the delivery notice.

The radio reception is kinda weak

Is the unlock button on the driver side door supposed to be lit up? Only the lock portion of it is on mine and it looks weird. What about the window and lock controls on the passenger side?

One bad camera phone pic but yayyy!

Nice! you bought the exact same car as I did (only my car is mag. gray with charcoal interior). Best decision I ever made. You will not realize optimum fuel economy until you hit somewhere around 15,000 miles. Yes, only the "lock" portion of the switch is illuminated. Enjoy the new ride!!!

The mag gray and charcoal interior was my first choice. But then when I went to buy, it was raining, and the black looked soooo good in the rain that I fell in love.

You can keep a black car looking new as long as you wash it only by hand, and wax it regularly with a quality carnauba wax. Black is my favorite color, but my laziness won't permit it anymore.

I'm planning on at least trying to keep this new looking. We'll see how long this holds up. I tried to prep myself for maintaining a new car by cleaning up and waxing my old one, but that didn't hold out long.
