So I now own a 1993 Black Q in amazing shape with a blown engine and a decent parts car of a 1990 Q. It ran till it developed rod knock. Other car had timing chain fall off and i bought it for 100.oo. I just bought an 87k motor from a 1995 for the 1993 Q. The other engine is going to be rebuilt and stuck into one of my S13. I want to know if anyone knows of any lowering springs still available for the G50 car. Its already got Hp Racing 18 x8 bronze wheels but sits a bit high. Interior is mint black leather as well. I will take some photos. It needs resprayed from just regular use. I decided to make it as mint as i can and keep it.

Good luck on installing the later VH45DE in the earlier G50. If you are installing the transmission also, be sure to get the later TCU.

I have no experience myself but IIRC, the Crank Angle Sensor (=distributor) is wired differently. Other than that no real differences. Many have done the swap so it's nothing that can't be overcome. Search "engine swap" in the Q45 and Infiniti Online Mechanic forums and there will be lots of old posts.

The only "custom" thing you'll have to do is use your coil packs and ignitors from your car, and wire up the crank angle sensor. Theres plenty of writeups on how to do it on here.. Other than that its a bolt in affair..
