hey NICO wassup! I just bought my s13 so now im officially in da club! Doesn't run yet so im obviuosly workin on that... Got a couple questions on head swaps and other stuff.

1. can a head swap be done from a stock SOHC ka24e to a stock DOHC ka24de?

2.Will they align correctly with the block or do i need 2 buy or swap out the whole engine?

3. Does power steering come with the Ka24de? Because iv heard some things about when switching from a SOHC Ka24e to a DOHC Ka24de you have to install the power steering?

once again thanks alot! really excited about my car! Got big plans 4 it and with ur helpi could get em done!

pics being posted up soon!

It'd probably just be easier for you to get a dohc ka and swap it in. Then you'll need the ecu, mafs, ign coil wiring harness etc, and if you want to keep power steering you'll need the power steering lines off a 240 that originally came with the dohc ka.

The search isn't as great as it used to be. Now it seems that everytime i search i get a bunch of threads with people asking questions and others replying with " use the search button" haha. The techpages part on the top of the page is real helpful though. lots of good writeups.

1 more question

Would it be better just do go without the power steering or put it on? Which would be better for drifting?

Idk that's more of a preference thing. I personally did without after mine. But if you're into the drifting i'd say just get the lines and keep the power steering.
