Man, am I in love. What a car. Makes my '96 j30 seem like a toy. This is much nicer than my buddy's gs400, MUCH more refined. I got a great deal....white on beige '00 anniversary edition, has 19" black wheels on it that look pretty nice, and it is perfect inside/out. I'll have pictures up soon enough, but looking forward to being around here more often.

Also the first car I don't feel the need to beef with-the power is more than adequate for most any normal driving. Little low on low end torque but not a problem.

Welcome to the forum.... I'll agree that Y33's power is more than adequate for most, but certainly not for all

We're glad you can be apart of the best Q45 forum out there!

Nice score! The Y33's power / weight ratio equals the first gen, but both loose out to the third gen. I beat fair and square a well maintained G50 (not by much), but of course G50 owners will hate / doubt that it could be so. In two years with mine, I have yet to loose to anyone except an E55. The interior is amazing, it's my favorite place to be, the seats are perfection, the driving position, I can just go for hours and never tire of it.

Welcome to the Q45 experience. I was gonna say you'll fall in love, but you already have.

This (NICO) is by far the best source of information/creative ideas for your Q.It's like a big family with different size/age siblings. We have three generations of Qs and we all think that our own is the better one. I guess the first generation is devided into three 90-93, 94-95, 96. The second is 97-01. The third 02-05.

So are all a big happy family. We spend quite a bit of the time listening to the experts and learning from them. A wealth of information to be had, that's for sure.We also spend time bickering about our favorite Q model. You guys (Kevin and Wes) crack me up.

Welcome to NICO and enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'm a huge internet guy and a bit of a "tinkerer," so I'll be on here all the time. Hopefully I can help someone out as much as I'll need help! In any case, I'll get pics up tonight and absolutely love my car. It is heaven every time I get into it.

One issue: Conditions: ONLY AT STANDSTILL, in "D" only, not "P" Symptom: small burp in idle, as if fuel was cut off for a split second. Car runs fine and will not do this at 1mph roll, only when stopped. Rpm's drop by maybe 100-150 then IMMEDIATELY right back to perfect. Often when it does it once, it will do it 2 or 3 times, and then not for a day or two.

My only concern is the cost of the fuel injection components, so I'd like to investigate this while under my 2500 mile warranty. I called the local infiniti dealership (not where I bought teh car), but the service tech had nothing to offer me. Anyone ever heard of something like this?

Whatever man. Who cares I bought a q45? Me. That's probably it. That was not the reason for my post, but obviously you're a little to thick to absorb that.

It's a public forum. If you don't like it, go find a private forum where you can make worthless comments to yourself. I hope technology in years to come finds a way to prevent people like you from sharing your thoughts, because you've obviously got nothing worthwhile to share.

Also, per your profile and an excerpt from another thread you started:

"some one please help me.I need to know where the fuse in my stero is it is a sony xplod cdx-ca660x."

Yeah, I'm sure you're a lawyer. Most lawyers can spell stereo, and use proper punctuation. But who needs proper punctuation when your truck has 2000 lb/ft, right?

There aren't allot of haters, 98% of us all get along well on here, but some do like to post pretty ignorant things like that.

I did. It's hysterical but, I don't see anything inappropriate.... maybe it's already been erased.

I first read it I thought he meant "who cares...(that you have a hickup/hesitation)...you have a Q!". Maybe not, oh well. Welcome paranoidjack!

My first thought would be to run dose of FI cleaner through the fuel tank. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Congratulations on the new car! I like the Y33 in white...Classy....

In my opinion...lose the black wheels. It looks like you are running on spare tires.

yeah, I didnt' like them much at first but they're growing on me. Also the pics don't really do them justice, it was a bit overcast.

I'll be tinting in a couple weeks, I think that black will bring out the black front grille that I currently can't stand and accentuate the wheels. We'll see.

If I don't like them, I can probably sell them for $1500 around here....19's in mint shape with new wraps? Then buy another set. We shall see.

I would also suggest a set of lowering springs. Check out Q_SHIP's lowered Y33....

Wow that Y33 is basically identical to mine, minus the wheels. 2000 Aspen Pearl White AE owner here.

I just got back from a 8 hour roundtrip drive today. Averaged about 90-95mph the whole way there and back and still got 20-21mpg. Not to mention, the ride was smooooooooth. Got a chance to bring it upto a new top speed of 140mph. I just love this car, and about the wood steering wheel, I agree.

I think the Y33 interior is one of the best around. I had a G35x loaner car from the dealership this last week for some routine maintenance and I was so happy to get my Q45 back. They just don't make interiors like they used to.

Car looks great though. I'm sure you'll love the car more and more as the days go on. Smart purchase!

Very nice, I like the wheels personnally. Get us some better picks when you get a chance. I definitely agree with loweringing it, expecially the front.

well, who here can speak for ride quality when lowered? My conern is the damage done to the rest of the suspsension (bushings, etc) when you lower a car. My prelude was lowered 3.5" and it slowly destroyed the car. I wouldn't dare do that to my precious Q...

also, what is the setup in these cars for rear suspension? The ride dampening is an air system, right? There are air bags, shocks, AND springs?

EDIT: Just read Q_ships post, kind of scares me that he said he was afraid of bottoming out everywhere. I don't think I can deal with that anymore...I bought this car to have a car I didn't have to worry about, and loved. Hmmm....

Also just read the car and driver article that Falkdesigns just scanned and upped. Interesting!
