Just bought/leased an EX35? Save $500 more!

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I just got a referral card in the mail saying if I refer someone else to Infiniti, they get $500 and I get $150. So if you just purchased or leased your new Infiniti between Aug 28 and Nov 30 2009, PM me so we can claim our American Express cash cards. =) If you already did this deal with someone else, you don't qualify of course.

It's amazing how many responses I got from new owners wanting to save $500. However, when I offer them a savings of over $10000 I don't get a single reply. lol I have a brand-spanking new EX35, fully-loaded with tech package that I bought for $40k back in Jan. I've been trying to get it sold for months.. can't even get on offer for over $30k and it has only 10000 miles on it. I bet if I could take a poll, most everyone here, if they could go back, would have considered getting a low milage new-used one over paying $10k+ more at a dealer.

I sure don't mean offense, a 10,000 mile 2008 ex35 is not new. The other problem is you can buy a real new 2009, with a 41,000 MSRP for 34,000. I would pay four grand more (30 grand vs 34 grand) to buy a new vs used vehicle, to buy 10,000 miles of use and get one year newer model, even if the changes are very little. The other advantage of new is you have a good chance of getting exactly the color and options you want. That is my view, I made the same decision when I bought mine, carmax had 2008's with 8 or 9 thousand miles priced at 31 grand, I was more than happy to pay 34 grand for a brand new 2009. I think most people feel the same way. I really wish anyone trying to sell the best of luck, my recommendation would be to advertise online in one or both of the major sites, price the car real close to your bottom price and hope for someone that is not aware of the discounts available to new buyers. You might consider getting a offer from carmax, my guess is they will offer around 28,000, retailing the car for around 31 grand. It always hurts when you sell a car one year down the road, regardless of the vehicle. I like to buy new and drive the car for 9 or 10 years, I don't worry about the resale value at that point. Best of luck.

Yeah but that 41000 MSRP EX you referenced doesn't have the intelligent cruise, AVM and other tech gadget like mine has. So you are trying to compare an average equiped 2009 EX with a fully loaded 2008. I didn't even see an EX on Carmax with the tech package being sold.. but based on the FX's they have on there, it adds another 2k or so.

Carmax is asking $31,998 for a fully loaded AWD with Tech package, has 16,000 miles. Stock #6088233 . You have a great car with less miles. This might give you a point to work from. Carmax is firm on thier prices so this gives you a real good idea of value. Hope this helps

Do you still have the card? If not, did it work with no problem?

I still have the card, and haven't used it. Did you purchase an EX35 recently? We can use it together, but only if splautz has already used his, since he started the thread.

I bought one last Saturday. I emailed splautz to ask him...haven't heard back. Send me an email so we can correspond that way and if I haven't heard back from him by Monday, we'll use yours. Sound good?

I already used mine. So you can go ahead and use yours with others. We can make this the general save $500 thread. lol I wish Infiniti would send me another. =) I might call Customer Relations and "request" another saying I can get them to sell cars by my referrals. lol

Be aware though it can take weeks to get the gift cards, as with any freebie.

I am interested in this $500 deal if someone has one. Let me know!

Ahh man! I found some guy on Craigslist that had one...I am a little leary and would have felt more comfortable doing it with someone from here but its too late I would assume the addresses and VINS have to matchup so I should be good, I am guessing someone else will snatch this offer up soon.

Hi Ron,

Do you still have your referral card for the AMEX gift cards? I just bought an EX on Nov 30th and could certainly use $500!

Thanks,Katie
