I just bought an AEM intake for when my car gets rebuilt. Not using it for too long, just until I save up enough for the SR.Just thought I would share, just a cheap little mod I guess. I wasnt too sure about buying from e-bay though.

I would not be too worried, that seller has amazing feedback. I've never had a problem with any seller like that.

I guess I have a fear of buying stuff for my car off e-bay like its a second hand product or something. Something like computer parts I still buy and I dont worry about that too much.

soo your saying it made your car faster, given that quarter mile times on a stock car w/ a (guessing, no offense) somewhat newer driver and now it sucks. Ahem......that makes no sense at all.

I ordered my AEM intake from the same seller... In fact it's scheduled to come in today. You really dont have to worry about him. He's a great seller.

sweet, I have read of some 10-14hp power gains from AEM from different websites. I might check AEM to see what it says there.......11ft-lbs torque14.4HPId say thats a pretty good horsepower and torque gain for just an intake gain but thats just my opinion, tested on a 91 KA24de

Guess I have way too much sarcasm in my post. The intake made the engine sound so sweet it almost brought tears. And there was almost .5 sec in the 1/8 with the very close to the same reaction time. And I am the only driver of my 240. It defiantly adds HP you will notice the difference and I highly recommend the AEM because it has thicker walls then the injen and even thought it's not much it does to some deg have more resistance to heat from the radiator.

i just bought an AEM intake from the same guy last week. he hasn't got my payment yet, but it's nice to hear good things about the guy. i always look at feedback nowadays, it almost has to be over 98% positive feedback (depending on number of items moved).

yea i love my AEM short ram - dunno if it helps but i wrapped the pipe with heat tape in hopes that it would insulate it against the radiator.

Hey, I might use that heat tape also, but am not sureYou should take it off and run the car hard to get hot and see how it does then re-tape it to see if its any better after running it hard again.
